This game has no business being as compulsively fun as it is, and the amount of content it contains is, frankly, absurd.

Kena: Bridge of Spirits is essentially what would happen if Pixar made a Soulslike.

The entire game is incredibly polished and looks stunning. The combat is fast-paced and tactical, and the boss fights really stand out as challenging but fair. The exploration is engaging — collectibles and upgrades are hidden around every corner, but not in a way that makes you feel like you need a guide to find them. The rot are characterful and adorable, and they feel like useful companions despite the fact that they're literally goofing off all the time.

With the Anniversary Update the game finally has the perfect amount of depth to keep things interesting. Kena's move-set has just enough upgrades to allow your play-style to evolve as you progress throughout the game, and the the Trials offer real challenge for players looking to 100% the game. You'll spend 15-20 hours on your first playthrough exploring and unlocking upgrades, but the game is short enough if you only focus on the objectives that it's worth playing NG+ just to fight the bosses again at full power.

The game doesn't really do anything new, but every single aspect of the entire experience is polished to a level that makes it really stand above many of the games it draws inspiration from.

A unique, quirky little rogue-lite, with an astonishing amount of content. Each of the characters feels unique, and each episode shakes things up just enough to keep you learning as you go. Dicey Dungeons has a wonderful sense of discovery, and strikes an excellent balance between experimentation and perfecting your build for that "perfect" run.

I highly enjoy stepping away from my computer and playing via steam link on my phone — the controls adapt seamlessly to touchscreen and controller. Great buy, even at full price.

That the art style holds up even in first person is a testament to artists' attention to detail when assembling this gorgeous world — easily the best cyberpunk aesthetic I've seen in gaming.

Brothers is one of the first games which I think can be universally regarded as a work of art. It should speak volumes that my father, a man who has never played a single video game, or even picked up a controller, sat down for four hours to play Brothers through to the end.

The aesthetic rivals the beauty of Trine 2. The difficulty curve and pacing rival the perfect execution of Portal. The storytelling rivals To the Moon. For anybody with a head and a heart this game is a must play.

Despite its flawed release, with 18+ years of community support this game shines. Remarkable story and immersion.

Update: VtM:B plays really well with SweetFX or ReShade. Definitely worth installing if you want to improve the graphics.
