Early Access Review
Fun and challenging, takes the concepts of Vampire Survivors, adds RPG gameplay and a Diablo aestethics. Excellent implementation of the Rogue-lite mechanics that keeps you going for "just one more run" and before you know it your day is gone!

FTL: Faster Than Light is simply a masterpiece.

But don't expect a fun game that will hold your hand every step of the way to victory.
Noooo oh hell no! You will fail. A lot! And then you will try again. And again. And again and again. And you will keep coming for more. Every. Single. Time.

FTL is a retro looking rogue-like space exploration game: You choose a ship layout, pick a hand-full of crew members and weapons and you are off to face whatever destiny throws up at you. From space pirates to insane prophets, expect anything and everything. Play your cards right and you might get a chance at that final battle.
The space battles are very fun and you can use a multitude of strategies to better your opponents: Take out their shields or weapon systems, board them and kill the crew members or take out their oxygen generator and watch them suffocate. And if all goes wrong you can always jump as soon as your FTL drive is ready.

Technically this game stands out because it is very well balanced.
Easy to start, but then difficulty will scale as you approach your final goal.
As you progress you will get more crew members and systems to manage but it doesn't become too chaotic or overwhelming.
Every time you jump you will face something new. Add the awesome retro look and the great soundtrack and you will keep coming back, regardless of the result of your previous run (which was probably yet another failure).

Final Score: 10/10
