INTRODUCTION:
Sekiro: Shadows Die twice is a damn great game. From Software was already praised by the SoulsBorne franchise but this time around they decided to try something a little different with the combat being more precise and the story being directly told to you instead of being discovered and interpreted by you, and the result was a solid game that most certainly deserves to be experienced.

THE COMBAT:
It is pretty damn satisfying. It is simple enough to understand and hard enough to master. It is not perfect, as it can get really repetitive later on because you only have one weapon, even tho you can vary the combat with the prosthetic arm tools, you will see yourself repeating the same combat process over and over. For me it was satisfying enough to keep me interested all the way through, but for other people it may become boring after a while. It surely is not as complex of a combat and weaponry as their previous titles. I can see this combat style becoming a hindrance in multiple playthroughs.

THE STORY:
I don't think it is amazing, as it falls a bit short on some of the most crucial moments with the lack of impact and build up it needs, but I did find it interesting enough. I won't spoil anything but the story revolves around this shinobi that lost his arm while protecting his young master and now has a prosthetic arm in place while trying to rescue his master that has been captured during an escape.

THE DIFFICULTY:
Because the combat is a lot more precise than in previous titles, rewarding you by doing parrys instead of simply running/rolling way or blocking, it feels harder than the SoulsBorne franchise. I think the initial learning curve is higher than on the previous titles (even tho the combat is simple enough to be understood from the beginning), while the end of the curve is easier when compared to these same titles and I think it has a lot to do with momentum. In this game the combat can feel a lot frenetic at times, you will be doing a lot of things really fast and because of that momentum while fighting it becomes really really satisfying. Because of that, the end of the difficulty curve feels a lot easier, because you will eventually master it and will traverse through the game a lot easier than you would in a SoulsBorne game in the late game. That being said, the bosses tend to be challenging by making you fight them differently than you would fight a normal enemy. There are some examples bellow.

WARNING(SPOILERS):
As and example of that you have the monkey boss with the sword on his throat. You can't just go and keep slashing him over and over again, you got to parry his attacks, run away as he does some unblockable attacks and how he swings so fast at you that at first you're so lost that you get hit until you learn the multiple different ways you can deal with his attacks while doing damage. It took me a while to figure this boss out and so did the last boss who have multiple phases changing his attacks between them, while also changing the scenario around him.

CONCLUSION:
So, overall I think this game is great, it has it flaws, but when you combine everything, it is an amazing experience, especially for someone who loves previous From Software works like the SoulsBorne franchise. If you like this type of games or want to try it, I would highly recommend Sekiro, I think it is an amazing game and an amazing experience. 90/100
