Legends don't really do much and aren't very interesting, but the epidemics are awful. Constantly having my realm wracked by them with -25 order because the never-ending plagues cause apocalyptic cults to spread. Every time the epidemic dies down another one immediately pops up. Tried setting the game to reduced epidemics but they're still constant, just had to disable them altogether.

Game is a buggy mess in single-player. Playing with a mouse and keyboard, I encounter invisible walls in hallways that the AI can pass through just fine, the vehicles don't acknowledge my mouse input so I can't turn them around and can't aim at targets in them, my character sometimes just freezes in position so I can't dodge incoming shots. Multiplayer has a lack of servers and bad net-code, I would advise against buying this buggy mess of a remaster until the bugs are sorted out and it's on sale.

As a total war game this fails on every measure. Entire game revolves around a meta wherein you spam heroes/abilities/monsters that smash into enemy lines. The game is the pinnacle of style over substance wherein you have lots of flashy colours and units which hide the fact that there's no real military strategy at work in your battles. Combat is effectively one massive MOBA game rather than a strategy game like TW is supposed to be. I would advice going back to a game like Shogun 2 or RTW, this isn't worth your money ($72 CDN 6 years after release with legions of DLC which are collectively twice the price of the base game).

This is just a further dumbing down of total war that started with Warhammer. The game is clearly designed around heroes and spamming abilities even if you play the 'historical' mode. Unit recruitment is fixed to your generals who are restricted in unit types you need (so you need several per army) and the combat is about cheesing unit abilities rather than using the terrain to outmanoeuvre your enemies.

As it stands, the game shouldn't be purchased. Warfare is boring, completely abstracted and there's nothing that explains why my armies are fighting battles with the same number of units as the enemy when I outnumber them on the front 3:1. The economy is somewhat improved on the market side, but on the production side it's incredibly tedious with micro-management hell that's far worse than the micro for the Victoria II military. To a certain degree you spend so much time dealing with production that you don't have any time to focus on the other features. Diplomacy is improved on the surface, but since the AI is basically using a yes-or-no statement it can only be used decently with other people. Finally, there's a huge lack of event flavour so all countries are essentially the same just with different starting laws and resources. Needs major improvement.1.2 Update: The game is still not worth buying. While autonomous investment has been enabled which makes the economy aspect somewhat less of a grind, it is still far too micro-intensive.Politics has been altered so it is no longer incredibly easy for the player, it's in a playable state now.Diplomacy is still abysmal, though it has been improved so your subject states no longer want to declare war on you when someone else starts a diplomatic play.Warfare is still horrible and incredibly boring. No improvements whatsoever have been made to it, the entire system is still 'point and click and watch the map change colour (provided you simply have more men)'.

You get five classic games for the price of one (I never played Halo 4). The games in the collection are very good, having dominated the video game market for the better part of a decade. Whilst there are issues with the port, Halo CE in particular uses the garbage original Gearbox port as a basis for the remastered version, the games still keep their charm all these years later. If you grew up with these games, they're a great nostalgia trip and if you never played them this is a great chance to enjoy some classics. Halo custom games also still rank as the greatest party games ever made and are great to play with your friends whilst drunk.

This is a garbage PC port. The framerate is regularly below 30 fps and the game freezes every couple of seconds. Control scheme is clearly designed to only be used by a controller and all options are presented using xbox controls. The only way to know what they are is to memorize a series of key mappings that you can't access in game. There's no mouse support to speak of.

The game is the full price of a triple A game, just under $70 but it's clearly a cheap port designed to scam people out of money. If you want to play this game, do it on console.

Way back in the day, I remember playing the Medal of Honor beta for the new game that was set in Afghanistan. The game, of course, was crap. Nothing new, and it seemed as though ti was trying to rip off the recently-released Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. This game makes me feel the same way. Its beta strikes me today the exact same way that Medal of Honor beta did all those years ago: It's bland, uninspired, and has nothing to set it apart from its competitors. The multiplayer is really nothing special, and had this game not been a Call of Duty likely wouldn't have been noticed by many. Let's run a list of the things wrong with this game:

-Small maps that leave you stuck in more or less close-quarters combat
- graphics that don't really suit a triple-A game costing $80, and instead look like something a mid-level studio would turn out for a game half the price
- combat is bland and uninspired. Apart from the new war mode that other people here have explained, there's nothing new. Game still requires minimal teamwork and is just running around getting kills before some other play spawns behind you and shoots you in the back
- Poor variety of weapons
- ♥♥♥♥♥♥ p2p system that makes you lag when you have green bars on your connectivity

This is a rundown of the beta's issues. The last Call of Duty game I bought was Modern Warfare 2, way back in the day. Right now, even a remastered World at War would be preferable to this, and I have absolutely no desire to buy a new call of duty.
