It works fine for me, no need to alter anything or download any mods. Just works out of box.
My system is all AMD CPU and GPU.

I found that if you encountered CTD or bad stuttering, go into my games->fallout 3 and delete all the .ini files and renderinfo.
That fixed all my problems at least.

I like this game and i will continue to play it for quite some time, although i cannot recommend it to somebody else at this point in time and i hope that our reviews on this title will make BGS realise that it needs to be fixed and expanded upon.
Becasue it needs to be succesfull for Bethesda otherwise we might see the makers of elder scrolls and fallout (atleast how us youngsters know it) fall to its demise. And we might not see those franchises that we do love be further expanded upon.

Pros
- Good combat comparing to other BGS games.
- Good atmosphere and scenery
- Much better basebuilding then what we have seen in previous BGS titles.
- Shipbuilding is good and responsive.

Cons
- Comparing to other BGS games then this is very bland, many "fetch quests", fly halfway across the universe to talk to someone only to go back and talk to someone else.
- Arguably somewhat less customizability in basebuilding.
- Performance wise this is a very hefty title i have a machine equivilent to "Recomended" 3600x CPU, RX 5600 XT GPU 16gb RAM and the game is running on an SSD and i struggle running this title over 60 FPS.
- Missing some settings and interface like as simple as a EAT button for food and drinks you find in the world, brightness calibration, DLSS for Nvidia for example.
- As i stated earlier the quests and the world in general feels very repetative and a little bit boring. You see almost the same planets everywhere snow and rock... There are multiple starsystems that are completely dead, no outposts, no settlements nothing. This makes me question their existance at all except for resource gathering.
- I feel like it misses this classic Bethedsa feeling to it where you sympithise and feel somwhat of a connection with the NPCs and characters in it, it almost feels like they are just there for no particular reason.

In summery buy on sale or stay away until it has been properly fixed is my personal advice.

Barely playable with keyboard or controller

Very fun arcade drifting game. Physics are ok, gameplay is very good, not too much grind to get currency in the game.

Bit of toxic community in the text chat though XD

Fun little game. Works great with ps4 controller.

Pretty boring story, better off not caring about it...

You wait longer to get in the game than you acctually enjoy playing the game.

Feels like a bad mobile game, basically no story, takes no skill, is super easy, gives you everything at the start (mount and pet) etc... Feels like there is gonna be a paywall in the near future...

Do this, talk to that person, kill that. Could not care less for the story and then the gameplay just seems really braindead.

Why give it away for free instead of fixing the game???

CE is a beatiful experience and halo 2 aswell, though it is only CE that has subtitles outside of cutscenes which kinda sucks because you can't hear what characters are saying during combat. Multiplayer is dead, have not found a match with different tries on different days.

Though multiplayer is dead and that there is no subtitles outside of cutscenes it the campain is still a good experience. (Have only played CE and most of Halo 2 yet)

It basically is a walking simulator. But the story gets really interesting and fun, the deliveries get harder and you have to think about how youre going to make the delivery and the concept of "helping eachother" is a neat feature.

The atmosphere is great, the music they play at key points in the story are well fitted and the environmnent is beatuful. Combat is kind of "meh" but its not realy a big part of the game if you dont want it to be either.

If youre going to play then i would suggest also buying/using a dualshock 4 controller because it is a lot better than keyboard and mouse (it is a PS4 "port" after all).

Fun game, i have played it twice on xbox 360 and am on my third playthrough. A few bugs here and there and kind of wonky to play on heyboard but you will get used to it. Overall a great way to experience the hobbit in a videogame perspective.

Only real downside is that it only features 2 of the three films. The third film was suppoed to be released as a free dlc but they cancelled it, a shame really with the rest of the game being so good.
