Weird amalgam of deductive reasoning, inference, point and click, and mad-libs (if mad-libs had correct answers). Kind of reminds me of the game booklets I used to play as a kid but instead of 'which child is the oldest and wearing the yellow ribbon' it's 'which dysfunctional family member murdered the cultist and what sect does the cultist's mask belong to'.
