Have a great democratic day!

Deploy fresh and clean with a friend or random helldiver. Your progression won't change a bit -- we are all democratic comrades here, gathered to spread democracy!

Drop some nukes, call a batch of turrets, and cover the enemy base with napalm. Do whatever you want, but remember -- it should be made for democracy!

Extract with boots full of dirt and a helmet covered in blood or... not extract at all -- just finish the mission. Make your life worthy of democracy!

Don't hesitate and join the ranks of democracy NOW!

"Best multiplayer ever". That's all that I heard about this game since 2016. Postponed to play it since the release.
90% discount - now or never.
1 hour was spent to fix the issues with broken cross-launcher integration. Aaaand...
Never started on Intel's 13th-generation processor later.
Best Schrödinger's multiplatyer.

It's sometimes tricky. It's always fun. But it's short. Not way too short, but still short enough.
I want more even after being 100% completionist - the desire to play is not fulfilled because completionist is covering all hidden fun scenarios.
Overall, it's a good game. Even for the full price. I hope the author will receive enough revenue and continue to release such funny indies.

OMG. Is this really not a pre-early access build?
Press "U" (!) to proceed to the main menu. "U", KARL.
"W"+"C" to dodge.
It doesn't even need to be reviewed further.
I eventually had to resort to the classic "Alt+F4" to escape the madness.

- My Empire joined Modern Era, but Research Tree is around the Medieval Era. And I was fully Science oriented. Others are in the Era like my Research Tree, but AI still got 5 man Runners army. Do they even know what science is?
- "Demands" works almost every time if you do not abuse it. Thus, I almost entirely covered the whole continent without any fights (except that stupid 6-stack Grizzly army, christ it was mad af)
- Religion spread is insane, too. Without any competitors at the start of the game, you can boost to have all enhancements till the Medieval Era
- War Support during the War with other fractions is a good and interesting mechanic that adds a tone of little sub-mechanics during the crisis, but it takes way too much time to force the opponent to make necessary peace.
E.g., I made a Vassal of another civilization and freed their city from the occupation. Left my 1 unit in the city and moved my army further to other captured cities. During the "move" phase, the opponent shifted its army from the fog of war and attacked the vassal city with my single unit. I did not receive help from the vassal units and lost the liberated city again. That gave my opponent a ♥♥♥♥ tone of War Support points due to the "City Capture/Victory" and it prolonged an insanely stupid endless war that could not be resolved in any other way except making me victorious.

Yes, the game is not really that bad at all. It has some great enhancements on well-known Civ mechanics, like:
- Civic Institutions bias change (e.g., single civic can shift the scale and change the "Progress" orientation (+science) to "Traditional" orientation(+faith)) that allows you to change the main course of your civilization likely for a long time.
- Change the origin of the civilization during the game (e.g., from China to Rome and back) to apply another boost for one or more future eras
- Land domination (takes not just 1 tile around and expands with time, but controls the X tiles in a region) and cities/outpost absorptions (tired of controlling 3 cities? make it as one and face the revolution lol)
Etc.

But generally, I have mixed impressions after the game. I played only one not full round and even did not reach victory, but I'm not sure about my intention to complete it. That last endless war was tiring AF and ~40 stupid click-through turns were way too exhaustive in the end.

Due to a required "yay/nay" review, I'm more biased to NOT recommend this game, but just because we have Civ 6 now and I'd better spend cash for a Civ 6 Platinum Edition with Frontier Pass DLC (and save some "gold", coz Humankind with DLCs are way more expensive in comparison now). But if you have it and seek something like Civ, then you can try it, but I'm not sure that you will be happy with your decision.
