Unlike the previous entry this one is less forgiving when it comes to learning curves. There is the odd party composition which will benefit you of course but you're not fully boxed into grinding this time round like LAD 7 was, though it is recommended.

Benefits long time fans of the series as there are multiple callbacks but nothing stopping anyone who jumped in at the last entry would fully lose out on.

Enjoyed all the way through, just wish the ending had landed different.

About 15 hours to complete.

PROS:
- Ashley isn't annoying anymore, in comparison to 2005 version
- Ada Wong in 4k <chefs kiss>
- Visuals look great
- Modern uplift in line with RE2/3
- Reworked areas fit in with the modern rehash

CONS:
- Not enough Ada
- RT mode was bugged and kept crashing
- Odd bug on gamepad where camera jolted (mouse movement fixed)

At £50 this is reasonable price for a remake game, enough changes and modern updates justify it the price so if you pick this up elsewhere for cheaper then it works well. Controls sometimes feel as if they are working against you but once you get used to the mechanics the game plays well.

Recommend you play with headphone for the benefit of spatial awareness because a few times enemies would creep up in a tight space
