I'm sorry that your old savegame does no longer work correctly in Update 10.

Update 10 is a major change to the game and hence save games made in a prior update cannot be fully migrated. We kept loadability, as players requested to be able to take a look at their old worlds for nostalgic reasons, but migration between major updates is never supported. Major updates like this happen rarely and any changes that would cause save games to break are limited to those only.

Maybe you want to try a new world in Update 10, given the addition of boats and the changes to world generation there is a fully new game experience to be had.
