So, for initial impressions:

The game has only been out for 10 hours at this point. Besides the server trouble due to hundreds of thousands of people getting online all at once, the game has be running without a hitch, just as it did for most reviewers. Within 9 hours CA has released a hotfix for some of the minor gripes.

The actual game plays very very well! If you like total war, and you like fantasy settings, definiely try this one out.

Edit #1: So, after initial the initial release night things have smoothed over. With online multiplayer, everything runs smoothly. No desyncs or noticable problems. I have encountered one or two crashes but these were after I installed mods so beware those ATM.

The dwarves seem to have a few grudge bugs, which can set you to having a small penalty to leadership and public order. Nothing too serious though.

Still recommended. This game kicks ass. The only reall true annoyance that I've found is that when playing over a LAN, me and my friend get a desync after the CPU ends their turn. However, this is just a click to resync and then we are good after a loading screen. THIS HAS NOT HAPPENED AT ALL DURING ONLINE PLAY. So yeah, solid game. GG CA, GG.
