Much has improved since the initial release with tweaks to balancing for an improved experience.
A refreshing

Inspired by the grotesque and morbid interpretations of Catholicism comes a Zelda-inspired rogue-like adventure game with randomly generated maps.
Lots of dark-humour and great character designs create one "hell" of an adventure with lots of replay value.

UPDATE// Game shutting down

The most fun I've had in a coop game in years. 4 v 4 intense combat.

The medieval side-scrolling epic nobody asked for yet was delivered. A fantastic team-based game which requires a lot of patience to master. Even more patience to trudge the long matches. This may be a downside for some but it is satisfying to fight to the finish, unless your team rage quits.

It's a great pleasure to have VALVE release this to the public. What the community has been able to accomplish with this software is outstanding and they keep on pushing the boundaries of cinematic excellence. A gateway drug into the world of 3D-animation.
Props to all the modders, content creators and visionaries.

DayZ has so much potential. Can't wait to see where the road will take us.
Most definately on its launch it will become a time sinkhole for me.

F2P MMO Shooter. What's not to love?
It is worth a shot however do understand it takes time to enjoy. In other words be ready to spend a full hour or more each play session.
SOE has done a fine job of continually updating the game with fixes, optimization and putting the community feedback into use.

So what are you waiting for soldier. The TERRAN REPUBLIC needs you!

Much love for this early access title and for the devs.
Well worth it if you want a more tactical shooter.

If you want to know how its like, play the mod first.
However this is Insurgency 2.
I would say unless you are really sold, buy the early access.
If not simply wait until the official release.

**Uncompleted with the game**

A game where the story becomes the selling point and not its game mechanics.
You think that they would have improved from the clunky animations, ai navigation and combat of Bioshock. Only to realize that in all three points much hasn't changed.
If these same game mechanics were in any other game with a weak story the game would have been mediocre at best.

I am still enjoying it but feel that the game mechanics/gameplay let it down.
