Honestly nothing too spectacular.
The only good thing out of this upgrade is:
It's free for past owner, the Legacy version is preserved which is good for mods before it gets ported to Enhanced version, and the Online portion of the game is upgraded if you care about GTA Online.

Everything else is more of the same, all the fancy enhancements like audio and RTs being offered are pretty much barely noticeable unless you look hard enough, but surprisingly pretty performant on my end.

The bad:
For Online, i have no idea why they removed text chat. However since I only play Online with friends, we can only get around it by Discord overlay chatting. But still, why?
Lastly, screw GTA+ in general.

Really interesting concepts, the addition of third portal known as the 'Time Portal' brings a whole new layer of Portal puzzle solving experience.
As the mod stated, the difficulty curve can ramp up real quick. It was truly made for those who are familiar with Portal and wanted to experience different additions. If you're simply into the story, in general they almost feel nonexistent and rather mid.

Give this a shot if you feel like challenging yourself. Bring a friend if you can to melt brains together.
The mod also kindly provided official walkthrough video if you feel like getting nowhere.. but do you really have to watch that?

A really great mod.
The story feels like it make sense to the events of Portal 1, pretty much giving nice connection and reference into it.
The levels are unique. I won't spoil much, but there's interesting new addition, with steady difficulty curves so you don't feel to burned out thinking of the solution.
Whether you're a new Portal player who want more of Portal 1 & 2, and long-timer veteran player. This mod got it covered pretty well.
Also, it's interesting to note that this mod is built upon Strata Source, you can see the new feel of the game engine with different lighting technique, but still retains that familiar Source(TM) feeling and steady performance.

Anyway, do give this a try whenever you got time for gaming, especially if you've been itching for another Portal experience.

As of HL 25th anniv update. Half-Life: Source, the unfortunately 'rotten-by-time' brother of original Half-Life is no longer visible on Steam. This means the only way to find and buy Half-Life Source is through other means such as internet browser, or through your friend's game library.

Half-Life: Source can be regarded as remaster.. or rather direct port of original Half-Life into using Source engine. Which is unfortunate, in comparison to Counter-Strike: Source, which fully take advantage of Source engine with remade maps and models. Half-Life: Source can be the very reason why, the remake of Half-Life known as Black Mesa started.

Of course, to make matters worse, it's available as paid product, and the game is particularly not good in term of modding community, considering there is very little to no resource to mod this game. This is why you'll see more original Half-Life mods running on GoldSRC engine compared to this one. Is this the worse Valve can do? Nope, it gets even worse. With the arrival of SteamPipe update, it completely changes the way game content is distributed. However, Half-Life: Source did not receive better treatment as the game functions gradually gets worse in the process. Of course, there's some updates, but it didn't completely fixed most of the issues arrived since the said update.

Half-Life: Source is definitely not worth the money in full price. But the reason why it'll have to exist anyway because the game assets have been ported to Source engine. Garry's Mod for instance, can mount Half-Life: Source assets allowing addons using such assets to work inGMod. Soo.. yeah, the only reason you may have to buy this 'remaster' is very well for use in GMod.

Despite all the problems, thankfully you can install community-fix mod known as 'Half-Life: Source Fixed'. If you want to experience Half-Life: Source to it's fullest potential, I suggest you install that mod. It comes with numerous fixes and improvements, such as custom settings toggling Source/OG particle and sound effects. Resized maps which greatly reduces loading time. If you hate Black Mesa because of the gameplay mechanic changes that worsen your nostalgia in reliving Half-Life, this is the way.

In short: You'll only need this game for GMod addons that require HL:S assets, with the game being hidden in the store, it might be slightly more difficult for anyone yet to own HL:S.

Only recommend on sale. Pretty fun to play solo or with friends, and im happy to take my time waiting for this game to arrive on Steam. BE WARNED, requires Online connection to play!

Game launched very rough when Ubisoft thinks turning open-world Ghost Recon into looter shooter was a good idea. Thankfully, a handful of understanding developer decided to turn it around with more options.

This makes Ghost Recon Breakpoint one of the most accessible tactical shooter to date. You have the option to play the game as Ubisoft 'intended' or turn it around and finetune the settings to find the best spot to experience the game on another level (really.. really recommend to play with Immersive setting).

Players can ease up with HUD infos or make things vague with very minimal HUD and clue-based objective direction (removing waypoint leaving you with handful of clues for you to pinpoint on where to go). Difficulty parameters are pretty good, from how the character receives injury to enemies skill setting. The game also include World Parameter to decide the enemy patrol routine, allied rebels presence, Azrael drone, etc.

Find that sweet spot to experience the game, if you're ready to take it to the next level, slide it to the hardest setting.

The issues: Online-only gameplay even when playing solo (bad in case of internet LOS and game preservation if Ubisoft decides to shut the game down), AIs are easy to manipulate even on hardest setting, in-depth player character's movement but too sticky and jank.

Honest thought..
I have never known about the Halo franchise, knowing it's an Xbox-exclusive franchise.
Xbox wasn't widely popular in Southeast Asia, so this franchise is pretty much under the radar for me.

The moment I found this franchise after MCC PC announcement, it piqued my interest, but I never bought it until at one point the collection is finally complete.

I am truly blessed and glad that I found this game, playing the game by release order now I understand why Halo is still a big deal and relevant franchise until now, despite reading their dark history seeing the game actually had development shift from Bungie to 343 Industries.

The first one was truly ahead of it's time, and the following sequel saw several improvement, the storyline started off pretty good, then it became a well-connected masterpiece. I have sinked so many hours from playing the campaigns following the stories and then challenged myself trying the game on highest difficulty. It was worth the time, the campaign are so memorable with unique weapon and vehicular combat encounters.

Finally I managed to bring my friends into the game and it was such a fun co-op experience. Not only on campaign experience. But we managed to try out multiplayer and PvE modes like Firefights. Today with Workshop update, I think we'll have a lot of plans about what to do with this game.

Either way, whether it's on sale or not. Please do grab this game if you want to kill some times in singleplayer shooting experience, bring your friends if you can. Try not to delve too much into the community, you might ran into fractions like Bungie and 343 diehard fans. What matters is that if you're having fun, then it's worth it.

Despite the complete collection may still have several issues like crashes and other glitch stuffs, I really hope it gets ironed out. I respect 343 Industries for giving updates to MCC and adding Workshop feature. And also to the people who previously worked on Halo from the start, the early days of Bungie for starting this awesome franchise.

Cheers!

This was another Half-Life game that ends up 'pretty short, nothing sort of interesting and new' like Half-Life Blue Shift.

It was also the time Valve decided to go into episodic direction trying to turn it into 'trilogy' (which end up didn't get fullfilled lol).

However, one thing I see from Episode One is several changes they learned from HL2 to further refine the ground combat. Continuing from where HL2 left off. Gordon once again is paired with Alyx to escape City 17 before the Citadel 'went nuclear'.

Yes, throughout the chapter, you'll met more puzzles related with Gravity Gun, you will have more practical uses with the physics manipulation weapon. Of course, it wouldnt be complete without 'proper firearms' so you have that.

But im not going to go talk about the combat experience and weapons. While there's nothing 'new' to add in Episode One. The main focus is to see player works with companion AI. Alyx is made to be more adaptive toward multiple combat scenario, you'll end up working together with her most of the time compared to HL2. She can assist from hacking Combine techs to sniping down enemies.

It was short, but sweet. All the improvements made in Episode One are carried over to Episode Two.
If you're so invested in Half-Life storyline, I really suggest you give it a go. If you're the kind of completionist gamer. Try to complete all the achievements, it's worth the time, especially The One Free Bullet.

I don't have Steam Deck, but hey.. with my trusty gaming laptop and controller.. I don't give a crap.
The story and scenario is pretty good to showcase their Steam Deck.

Im just glad Valve is back making more games.

Quite possibly the best recent NFS from Ghost Games!

Sadly, this game won't be updated anymore..
I've had fun so much anyway, both customizations wise and the gameplay challenge.
It's worth the value on sale.
