I've owned this game since 2020, but never played it. Heard about 1.0, figured I'd create a character and mess around with it for a little while before jumping back into Helldivers. I haven't liberated a single outpost since starting this game. First game I've gotten addicted to in a long time. Servers were rocky for the first few days I played, but they seem good to go now. Everyone has said it, but it really is the perfect balance between Diablo 4 and Path of Exile.

Early Access Review
Great game. A little better than Vampire Survivors even. Love the aesthetic, the progression is compelling, the gameplay is less brain dead than VS, and like VS, it’s perfect for Steam Deck (even though performance gets a little chuggy during some mob waves).

Excellent return to the old school shooter genre. SP is great, MP is dog turds. Worth it for SP though.

After 3 hours, do I recommend this game? Yes and no. Yes, I know it's going to be an awesome ride. The ambience, the combat, the graphics, the movement--THE GAME, is awesome. Unfortunately, as you know, you might have technical issues. The game is working fine for my i5 3670k and 970, but your mileage may vary.

So, assuming you can play the game, I recommend it. It's great, but you might want to wait a bit.

"Wake up. You're dead." Wolfenstein: The New Order is what a great single player FPS should be. It's got a beefy campaign, reasons for replayability, great gun play, great stealth play, and very nice pacing throughout. At every point where you are getting worn out by action, the game will introduce some sort of non-combat gameplay element, such as a hub where you talk to NPCs. Take all of that plus tons of secrets, interesting weapons and tactics, and great attention to little details such as the quote above taken from the player as you stealth kill a sleeping Nazi.

This is certainly the best single player FPS I've played since Bioshock Infinite, therefore I have to really recommend it.
