The game is overall well done. Visual details and density of activities in the game are very apparent. Difficulty with the game is also dependent upon the settings chosen. Combat can be simplistic and extremely easy depending on your playstyle, spell combinations and gear, or you can complicate it too if you wish or if seeking to complete combat challenges.

For those not puzzle or collection oriented, some parts of the game can be frustrating or tedious if you seek to be a completionist with the game. Otherwise, you can complete the game fairly quickly.

Replayability with new characters will afford very limited differences(such as the few back story fillers of characters you encounter or the main story quest variations per house of Jack Daws.) Outside of what was just said, the only other interest would be for the achievement completing the first fourth of the game per house(ie to discovering the map room).

Mods are also available to those that wish to explore playing differently and that may also broaden replayability as well.

It is a a decent enough rpg game. However it will not necessarily appeal to everyone. Do your own due diligence accordingly.

Lastly, if you're simply on the fence considering whether to get it or not. Simply wait. Invariably this will go on sale and the longer you wait the cheaper it should likely get. There's also an exclusive Playstation quest that will be made available one year from pc game release that may also be a motivation to wait to have more content to play with (its an interesting storyline for that quest, pretty long, and then affords you a way to make more in game gold (though once you learn how to play this game gold becomes a non issue, reallly.)

Also if you have a lower end computer, I recommend waiting until you have a better quality one to play the game due to the visuals.
