I liked it. I know a lot of people felt like the combat was inadequate but I didn't have an issue with it at all. I played it on launch and experienced the change in gameplay and other things as the developers took feedback and improved the game with it. I think this is a team of people that really care about this game and it shows. Could the combat be better? Yes. Could the story? Yes. But you could say that about any game you play. It is a great world to look at and explore, the equipment customization is fun, and nothing else here is bad to the point where it would make the game not worth playing in my opinion.

I loved the Witcher 3, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Darksiders, etc. I thought I had changed to where these types of games weren't for me anymore after I hated Fenyx Rising but this game has shown me that I still love a good open world to explore with a character to build and that I really just hated Fenyx Rising.

if you play co op and pick the dog you can slap each other and pretend you are petting the dog

Can't expect a ton from a game like this. It's very nice to look at with a pleasant atmosphere. Not a bad use of 15 minutes at all.
