Deceptively simple and thoroughly addicting. Perfect for cosy or ASMR gamers. Absolutely no stakes gaming. Extremely relaxing to play and fun figuring out all the build mechanics. I have a wishlist for future upgrades but this little sim-builder is just about perfect as is.

This game has had me in a choke-hold for a year - approx 642 hours at the time of writing.

It's not letting go.

I would ask for help but I don't really want to be rescued.

Beautiful writing for (most of) the characters, wonderful graphics, music that rends the heart. It's not without its faults but the faults are few and far between - and yes, Act 3 is a little messy and hectic, but every bit as rewarding as the beginning of the game if you stick with it.

Was not expecting this to be so good. The idea is simple - just clean stuff. The stuff happens to be bloody crime scenes and you have to bag bodies, remove evidence and steal stuff, but that's fiiiiiiine. You're getting paid.

The storyline is great. The voice acting is hilarious. The attention to little details is appreciated. The puzzle aspect is just interesting enough to hold the attention. I'm looking forward to further development into challenge modes and extended levels.

I keep. knocking. the. dang. bucket. over... *DING!* Wha? Achievement?!

Anyway - play it.

And pat Dexter.

Such a relaxing and fun game to play. Beautiful aesthetic and gorgeous soundtrack. The voxel graphics are really charming. I do wish there was an undo function so I could go back a few steps every now and then or edit my tracks or stations - limited of course, don't want to make it too easy. Now that there's a creative mode this game is just... *chef's kiss*

Why the hell would I get a PSN account if I play on PC? Nope. Bye boi. Will refund if possible. I will not be held to ransom by a company that is NOTORIOUS for data breaches.

Early Access Review
Very pretty, but boring, fiddly and tedious.
If you really want it, wait for a decent sale.
I refunded.

TL:DNR -
Pretty game, pretty music, wonderfully diverse and inclusive casting, appropriate for those who like cozy gaming, not as much tension as the other games in the franchise. Not a heck of a lot to do - would recommend buying it on sale.

Longer version:

MAJOR props for graphics and soundtrack. The developers never really seems to go wrong when it comes to great music for their games. The story was interesting, though it did slow down a bit through the 4th and 5th chapters. Considering the storyline (which I will not spoil) there was a lot that could have been included to make the game far more interesting. It does lack the depth of the original Life is Strange game but it made a good effort.

As mentioned in another review, the story and gameplay would absolutely benefit from Alex's powers being far more dynamic - it was definitely missing the negative affects of being tapped into, a la Max from LiS1. Having some sort of consequence built into the game (other than what did happen to Alex) would have been far better. It had a promising start when we first see it occur but then... not so much each and every time afterwards. There was also so much more potential story with various situations and characters throughout the game. At times it does feel like it's just leading you toward the end of the story for it's own sake, rather than discovering it for yourself.

On the whole... a nice few hours of narrative gameplay. I'd rate it a 3.5/5.

It's easy to play, pretty to listen to, fascinating to watch as you make plants grow. It ticks the builder's box for me because I love to play in creative mode. It's lo-fi but that's what makes it all the more charming.

I wish I could say that this game is fantastic, but it's really not. The potential is definitely there but it currently needs a heck of a lot of work.

The controls are very clunky and the tasks are incredibly repetitive.

The collision mechanics are very broken - for example if I butt two hedges up against each other, they will jump back after a short time and end up falling over or on their sides. Nothing clips together, particularly the building items and fencing. There's no point in using them if they're not going to clip together properly.

There are certain aspects I like, for instance mowing and planting, watering, etc But the game-play itself is very dull.

Buy it if it's on sale or if you don't really care about playing the actual game.
