You get to design the best of the best and the jankiest of jank on the seas, you can rival the french in hotels on the water or go full yama-yamato with 4x3 20'' guns.

Amplitude deserved the mixed rating at launch. They do not anymore, and as they continue to work on Humankind, i suspect they will deserve it less and less. This is a great game, and a very healthy addition for the Civ genre.

Despite the crashes, despite the bugs, this is a wonderful, fantastic game which can keep you interested for more than 150 hours in one playthrough. You could say its Hardcore Skyrim, but this game is much more refined.
