I am a 48 year old father, probably one of the oldest people playing this game. I am a single father to my son, who is now 14. My son recently downloaded Dead by Daylight and in less than a week, he had already played for over 20 hours. This was terrible for me, as it was already hard enough for me to spend time with my son, as he is always out with his friends or just watching videos on Tiktok. So I decided to make a Steam account and get this game to see if I could maybe play alongside him. I loaded into the game, did the tutorial but I was stuck on what you where supposed to do. I asked my Son for help and he hosted a game for me to join. I loved it as it was the best time I had spent with my Son since my wife had died. This game has ever since brought my son and I closer again and now we actually spend time together outside the house as well. This game reminded me that there's fun to be had in everything, and it has brought both me and my Son many happy memories.

Rapid fire straight-to-the-point review of Cyberpunk 2077. My review of Cyberpunk 2077 is long overdue (just like the game) and very much lacking in quality (again, just like the game). Having played through the campaign once and looking at other stuff on YT here are things I've concluded upon. I am not accounting for pre-launch game concepts such as expanded character creation, the end product is the end product and I won't hold the alleged false advertising of CDPR against themselves.

- The world looks magnificent, although CP (Cyberpunk) is like an antique chair. It looks great and it's intricately crafted but you shouldn't sit on it or else it'll break.

- There's tons of fun guns and stealth in CP, supporting all sorts of attachments and allowing the player a select few distinct playstyles. Being an open-world FPS all of this sounds like I'm describing Far Cry. Sadly, the delivery of the vast amount of tools the player can use to get an upper hand on their foes falls flat in the very bland interactions with the enemies. Enemies are dumb, have no character and the only reason you'd wanna kill them is for the scant XP and either underpowered or overleveled loot they yield.

- Speaking of loot, CP attempts to be an RPG at its core. Whether it succeeds at this or not comes down to personal interpretation. Weapons, armor and implants have different stats. The very best part about this is that CDPR has managed to avoid creating any cheesy metagame weapons. Everything is more or less viable while used properly in their respective playstyles, be it being a loud and proud shotgunner with gorilla arms, a long range sniper with a million grenades up theirs or a low down suppressed SMG hacker chipping away at a corporate compound little by little with great discretion and subtlety. Everything works and your preferred choice of "make bad guy go die" is catered to.

- The customization in CP is alright. It's something special but not remarkable if that makes sense. There's lots of different looking jackets, pants, shoes, headwear and etcetera to pimp out your choice of style, although you'll usually end up looking like a circus clown wearing mis-matched clothes with lurid and unfitting colorations.

- The campaign is MAGNIFICENT. You are sadly pretty much forced into interacting with a few key characters such as Johnny, Panam, Jackie, Judy and so on. The majority of the "essential" characters in the game being pretty well written you'll end up loving or hating them at the end of the day. The optional but commendable side quests let you do more stuff with or for the people you meet along the way and, surprisingly, the side quests don't take anything away from the main story and are often inserted into the game in a decent manner.

- The music in this great is out of this world, the world of Cyberpunk. It's unlike anything I've ever heard before but also uncanny in its ability to be grounded in the world it's in. No weird UFO music, just music you'd expect to hear 50 years from now. The wide variety of different rock, hip-hop, rap, reggaeton, pop and club music is great and I find myself listening to original songs made for the game even when I'm not playing the game.

Overall, the game's not bad, just not what I expected it to be. It's like being offered OJ but you get milk. Both are fine but you feel like you get got.

I personally rate the game a generous 7/10. It's got a few kinks here and there that are there because of gross mis-management at the CDPR studio. Nothing bad in the game is something that can't be fixed with later patches. I wish the stupid and annoying glitches and bugs hadn't been there to begin with and that all of the cut content would still be in the game to enrichen the world and gameplay experience.

Beating and slicing zombies in this game gives me a half-chub. But I presume that says more about me than about the game.

As an avid Far Cry fan I was naturally excited for this new spin-off title with a smaller price tag. I want to highlight some things New Dawn did extraordinarily well. Everything that's in the game I don't mention is okay and average stuff.
1. Amazing atmosphere built by the original soundtrack and scenery. The biomes switch a lot and you really feel like you're walking through a forest no human hand has touched in years.
2. The non-main enemies are amazing aswell the ranking implemented alongside them. There are 4 ranks, rank 1 is your average goon with no armor and just run of the mill weapons. Rank 2 is armored in the head and torso meaning you have to plan where to shoot. Rank 3 is a fully armoured type with access to better weapons and rank 4 is a type that cannot be tagged with your binoculars/camera, can hear the player crouch-walking and instead of carrying 2 weapons they carry 4 much like the player, according to my sightings they all have the M60, AR-C, RPG and SVD. Sometimes they have one of these four weapons swapped to the M133 shotgun.
3. Far Cry 5 had the issue of making the player gravitate towards the best core weapons since virtually every gun could be silenced and fitted with an optic. New Dawn makes the player frequently swap between different weapons for different purposes in their nearest weapon workbenches, be it for campaign missions, stealthy outpost liberations or free roam. Some low grade weapons also are in bad shape so reloading them will take a considerable amount of time, making the player have to put in the effort to land their shots instead of spraying and praying.

4. The perk system is great. There are no build-ups, if you have the required quantity of perk points for a perk you can get it immediately, be it more health, bigger ammo bags or faster crouch-walking. Some perks also have gradual upgrades meaning you can invest perk points onto the same perk to make it more efficient, such as increased health and more ammo.
5. The music. I'm saying it again but the music is awesome.
6. The story isn't the best in the series but the ending made me literally shed a tear or two because of how ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sad it was. Most of the characters were well made meaning I actually cared about them, the cutscenes were modestly implemented but they complimented the passage of the otherwise boring story.
7. The missions were AMAZING. Imagine Far Cry 4's City Of Pain and Far Cry 3's drug trips but all the time.
8. The absence of currency made this into a very interesting Far Cry game. Primal had a similar gimick but in it you didn't have to cultivate a broad arsenal to be able to be well-rounded.
9. The price tag is just about £40 while it was 1.33 greater on all other big Far Cry titles on launch. For a new Far Cry experience and for saving some money New Dawn is YOUR much needed shooter.
10. References to past events. Remember everyone's best friend Boomer from Far Cry 5? His grave can be found in the game, alongside other neat nods at their previous titles.

I over-all give this game a good 8/10. For comparison, Far Cry 5 was 9½/10 for me. Short and fun with a lot to give.

Picked up from a sale at a fair price of 19,98€, me being cheap, thinking it was a waste, I was glad to be proven wrong. Fallout 4 is an another great game for the franchise, earning every letter of the game genre category RPG, roleplay game. This game will offer you handfuls upon handfuls of side-quests and a very immersive and interesting main storyline with very rewarding quests at it. The game offers a lot for the player, such as very flexible weapon and armour customization, not restricting you to use only a couple of dozen guns; you can give the said firearms very personalizing modifications such as a suppressor, a reflex sight scope, an automatic receiver or a modified caliber feeder if you feel like using up a certain type of ammo you've hogged. This also accounts for melee weapons, and the said weapon type opens up an another way to play the game. Be it sledgehammers, shotguns, assault rifles, marksman rifles, laser rifles, you name it, you can go with it.

If you have an extra amount of time ready to be wasted (worth it, though) on a videogame, pick Fallout 4 up.
No matter if you prefer strategic third-person games or first-person shooters, you can play Fallouy 4 however you like with the many ways you can engage your enemies - or a local tavern where you will be met with many long dialogs. It's a roleplay game, after all.

Through my two full campaign playthroughs I can be pretty certain about what I think about this game.
The graphics are pretty, the game looks absolutely wonderful, the atmosphere is great, the characters are mostly great.
Though, the plot and story was just poor. For a game so beautiful the story was too short and un-inspired. Far Cry 3 and Far Cry 4 left me stunned after the first playthrough, they were masterpieces. I've spent over one hundred hours on Far Cry 3, over two hundred on Far Cry 4 but just alittle over thirty on Far Cry Primal. It's not worth 59,99€ in my opinion, 40€ would be nice.

Pretty game, poor story. Far Cry game is a Far Cry game, though. I liked it. Buy this game when it drops down in price.
