Started with a silent, dark pathway. It looked like the game has a dark, emo feel to it. A puzzler platforming with a touch of mystery and slight agony. Boy, did I not see the immediate threat coming.

Breathtaking, nervewrecking, despair. They say its an emotional rollercoaster, I say it's a no-end bungee jump. You would start the game thinking to enjoy the ride slowly and explore everything until you got to the point where it hit you; the only thing you want to do is move forward, no turning back, and fast.

There is no one chasing you at all times, but it felt like you just have to move fast. And when you do get chased, you just want it to end even faster. The creepyness and thrill of it all is not to be underestimated. Yet, you can't stop thinking along the way, "What kind of world is this!?"

A good game would hit your emotional chord, and this one, as simple as it looks, would hit you deep, deep INSIDE.

After I played The Testament of Sherlock Holmes, I immediately thought that the game was gonna be a benchmark for more and better Sherlock Holmes games to come - They truly delivered with Crimes and Punishments.

The game is even more engaging, with even better mechanics of controlling the characters. There's even more scenarios where you have to use different characters, and a few addition of investigative modes.

Having said that, the game is tad bit easier than Testament, whereby the puzzles are less complex and it is really more straightforwardly guided with more obvious hints and leads you where you should go. However, at the end of each cases, you will have to make a decision based on your collected clues and you would be shown the answers - don't be surprised if you get it wrong, because it can happen, and you would be able to continue as is.

Whilst the puzzles are simpler, they make up for it with longer cases and stretched storyline, just nicely suited and not dragging it. The cases are all separated and are not connected to each other, but the fun of investigating is all the same.

It makes me want more cases. More deaths. More things to investigate.

Oh dear, I have been Sherlocked.

Early Access Review
My regular ending of each successful missions be like:

"♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, that actually worked!? In your face, medievals!"

I'm not at all far into the game but the satisfactions gained from each missions straightforwardly tells me that I simply like the game.

The first thing to point out is that the game has a very short tutorial at the start and it will expect you to do a bit self-learning by doing its earlier missions that are all catered for you to use various tools and weapons for your machine's design.

Unlike plenty other games, this game doesn't require you to unlock a certain materials or weapons, rather everything was made available to you from the start and there is no currency in the game thus you are able to design your machine with maximum capabilities and resources. Upon knowing the available selection of materials and weapons and how they work, you are then left to your own creativity on how to accomplish a mission and it can be done in any way possible, only restricted by a maximum size of how large and wide your machine can be. Basically, this game does not have a high learning curve and it doesn't require anyone to master physics to enjoy it.

The game looks and runs brilliantly. The UI is simplistic enough and you won't have to go through much exploring to get used to it. You may need to get used to the camera's movement and control at the start but I assume that is the case for any games at all. All in all, it's a great game to play from time to time and if you decide to play it, don't think too much. Blast em all on and watch the sheeps and soldiers flew and bleed to fulfill your enjoyment.

Update: Updated for Steam Awards. I placed it under nomination for "Did It Work?" category under "We Didn't Think Everything".

First and foremost, based on reviews, the Rocksmith Real Tone Cable is very fragile so take extra care of it! Over at my place the cable is not easy to find and is rather expensive so you don't want to go through hassle of getting another one or modding a guitar usb cable.

Rocksmith is a fine tool for beginners and pros alike. There are plenty video lessons that would be helpful for beginners, even when you are playing a guitar for the very first time. In Rocksmith, you don't do readings, unlike reading tabs, chords, music notes or using Guitar Pro software. Rather you learn through videos, visual graphics and repetitive motions.

All you really need is an electric guitar, and the game will handle the rest. The tones, amps, and all the tools that will mod & filter the sounds that are available in real world are all installed in the game and it sounds really, really awesome. *Branded, expensive stuffs, mind you*. Jamming in real life won't get you the exact sound without these proper tools thus in this game you will play the songs as it is meant to be played. *Thank god the tones are not DLC's* *No, I'm not giving any idea, Ubisoft*

The game has a mode called Riff Repeater where it allows you to learn sections by sections of the songs. It also have difficulty setting whereby you can control your pace of learning so it really caters to beginners very well. *Imagine learning the solo's without this mode, oh god*. Practicing would be boring, if you're not interested in the song in the first place. So song choice matters! Start immediately with the songs you like and don't just play at random! Also, it has a build-in tuner so you won't get your tuning wrong for all the songs. Having said that, outside of the game, you gonna have to learn how to tune the guitar to suit the songs perfectly and that would depend on your own initiatives.

Ultimately, with or without Rocksmith, you have to be passionate and dedicated enough to be able to enjoy playing the guitar. Rocksmith is just a tool, and it's not a game where you will have fun without practicing a song over and over again. I see that many started this game but stopped after a short while because they seem to lost interest. So take this into consideration if you are going to start this game as you don't only have to buy the game, but also the guitar and its cable and almost everything that accompanies it which by then you will find out this hobby is as costly as any other.

Points doesn't matter, as long as you enjoy playing & I do, I enjoy playing. So if you are looking to play a guitar, whether beginning or restarting the musical journey, I wish you good luck and have fun!

I believe the common perception of episodic games is most people really like it to be fully released before they grab and play it in one shot. If you are that type, I have a good news for you. When you play it later on, whenever that is, you will like it enough if not totally enjoy it. The wait will be worth it.

Sure, I am only talking about the game by the first episode alone, and this review can be reviewed. To compare with other episodic adventure games, Life Is Strange provides a richer content in storyline in form of verbal choices and journal reading. A lot more character is involved and there is a lot more content for you to read and explore so to fully enjoy the game you shouldn't really rush through it. This also in turns give more game time for the you to play the game when new episode releases.

Aside from the ability that your main character has, the game is realistic which evolve around college students and all the dramas involved in college life. Aside from having pretty graphics and arts, the game requires you to make choices of which you can be given the chance to correct (with limit of course) and just make your own story of how you want your character to be, to represent, and to progress with the story flow. To top it off, the game is also accompanied by a good theme and soundtrack.

Astonishingly beautiful.

The gameplay is unique. The art directions and music compositions are both fantastic and well used in the game.

The storyline however, is very typical and does not gives you much of an impact. There is not much replayability value unless you want to replay the short platforming puzzles and unlock all achievements. There's however something special to look forward into at the end of the game.

I can see that this game is going to be a benchmark of something special towards future puzzle/platform games.

At first it was the excitement of controlling 2 characters at once.

And then enjoying the smooth mechanics controlling them simultaneously.

And then the fun puzzles. nothing difficult but made me enjoyed them nevertheless.

Also the interactions with other people, animals and surrounding objects can be funny and entertaining.

And then only the story comes in. Nice, nice story indeed.

Graphic and music wise, awesome.

Fun.

Yes.

This game changed my perception toward games. I used to only focus on them triple A and high graphic games on consoles and pc but this game showed me exactly why story>graphics/gameplay.

I’ve never been more interested in story focus games since then and I’ve kept looking but so far To the Moon is still the best in my list. The soundtrack is so amazing I ended up playing tons of hours of Football Manager with them playing at the background. Still one of my favourite game OST to this day.

A rollercoaster of human psyche. A beautiful tragedy.

As I move chapter to chapter, I kept repeating to myself "This game is crazy!", though that effect lessen towards the end. Include 7 chapters of awesomeness. I was almost hoping it wont end. It somewhat has replayability value as I completed the game but only manage half of the achievement. One of the very good game that does not receive enough hype. Having said that, this game is certainly not for everyone. You might not be as appreciative towards the storyline as I am. If you're impatient and do not like slow cutscenes or simplistic adventure gameplay then you won't enjoy it as much as I did.

Be it if im overrating it, but I'll remember The Cat Lady as one of my favourite indie adventure game of all time.
