Horrible matchmaking, missing core "Halo" features like lobbies, proximity chat, or any social features really to speak of. The matchmaking experience is solidly the worst it's ever been in the history of the series due to the absolutely braindead implementation of Skill Based Matchmaking. The custom game browser is a significant step in the right direction, but it's still marred by horrible UI and a myriad of bugs.

The customization system is a colossal embarrassment, not just compared to every other game in the franchise, but compared to even the greediest and laziest customization systems in other modern titles. The core and coating system exists solely to take control and expression away from players and place it into the cash shop; making the game feel like it has absolutely nothing to grind for and no reason to play.

You truly do have to be an utterly soulless scum-filled husk of a person to put untextured primary colors in your game's store for real money.

Networking features and general user experience are glaring failures on even the most basic of levels, and consistently break down completely when trying to play with only a single friend.

As much as I want to give the new leadership credit for trying to right this horribly built and designed to fail ship, it's two steps forward, one step back.

Good work on the networking and firefight updates, but man your matchmaking director may as well be huffing paint thinner for how absolutely awful any of the PvP modes feel to play.
