1.4 Update - The DLC come out of nowhere and change the entire way to play this game every time, FOR THE BETTER! The DLC introduce so many new functions that give mod makers new ideas and abilities to make deeper and more intrinsic mods. This is the only game that I blindly buy any DLC for, just "shut up and take my money". Seriously, stop reading this and buy it.

1.2 Update - This game is really coming into its own. With the DLC Royalty, new elements that were not able to be created by mods are now giving modding a new set of tools to modify. This game is still my #1 game after many years and I always end up back at it each day. With the game itself maturing, the mods are becoming less and less unstable, which is great. Please go buy this game and the DLC.

1.0 Update - The mods have finally caught up with the release version. I currently run 190+ mods on my game. Majority are just functionality mods. The 1.0 release brought us 64-bit, so now the game runs way better with mods. I haven't had a crash at all once I figured out the correct order to load the mods, and there are mods to help you load mods ideally. GO GET THIS GAME RIGHT MEOW.

Stop looking at ratings and reviews right now and buy this damn game. If you are remotely a fan of base/city building games, this is the perfect culmination of the utmost creativity you can imagine. Not only is the vanilla game so good, and incredibly challenging, the mods. OMG the MODS! Right now I have a 3 year colony. A small fortified bunker of GDI soldiers in the center of the map, constantly beset by falling Tiberium meteors, which spread green, red and blue tiberium slowly from their craters, and mutating all animals in their path slowly into visceroids. And if that wasn't enough, every couple of days, the colony is attacked by a roaving zombie horde, reaching up to 300 walkers, spawning from a different direction every time. And if that wasn't challenging enough, NOD decides they want to pop round and set up an area on the edge of my map, and build a mortar to reign hell down on me in my fort. KANE SHALL NEVER DEFEAT ME!!

Okay, in short, get this game and find some mods to fit the scenario you want to play. I have close to 40 mods on at the same time, they all work together perfectly(once you figure out compatibility{which is usually put into the mod's descriptions}).

Stop reading a buy it. You will not regret the 30 bucks and it does not require a powerful PC to run.
