Absolutely one of my favorite games of all time for a couple of reason that I will detail down below. First off I'll mention the obvious, the game is absolutely beautiful no matter how many times you have played through it. Currently I am on my third playthrough but first with mouse and keyboard and this game runs like a dream on steam. That being said there are a couple of texture loading issues that happen from time to time but all you need to do is pause the game for a sec and its all good so no biggie. Also the gameplay is great and so smooth on mouse and keyboard, I feel like Control was Remedy taking all the best parts of Alan Wake and Quantum Break, throwing away all of the mistakes they made in those games away and then made Control.

OK second point, the atmosphere of this game is amazing, at first you get this very creepy vibe as you should from an office building that looks like it came out of a 1950s detective novel. This slightly old vibe that this game give off is one of my favorite parts of the whole game and it leads into the lore which I will get into later. I remember on my first playthrough that I would often feel very anxious when going into any room and I still get that feeling even after playing through and one-hundred percenting it on 3 different systems including this one. That subtle sense of anxiety follows you but as you get more and more powerful through the game you start to feel a sense of superiority...don't this game will kick you in the balls if you let it. Also play the game on unassisted mode Remedy is correct the difficulty level it is originally set at is perfect for any player casual or not.

Now on to my most favorite part of this series, the lore. I love lore but I often feel it gets drowned out in the mix of play what is often an amazing game. Take Skyrim for example, I am sure that some people have read every book but you find yourself a little bogged down at times trying to find history through text in that game. To be fair you'd be more likely to be killing a dragon if you were playing Skyrim anyway but I'm getting a bit off topic.

The lore of this game mixes so well with the atmospheric setting of the game, I find myself riveted by every single document that I come across especially anything that is about the rightfully weird things you find in the game. No spoilers obviously, but I can be almost certain that you will find one thing about the lore you find interesting. Whether it be about the items or events that surround the FBC each and every one of the some 300+ documents, audio logs, and creepy kids shows leads into a specific lore based reasoning. Though I will admit some of the docs don't make any sense and actually make me kind of worry about the developers of this game and their mindset when writing it. That being said I highly recommend this game to anyone...even if you are a hardcore specific genre type player and only play like fighting games or FPS's for instance, give this game a try I promise that the 40+ hours your about to sink into it will not be wasted. 10/10 and I cannot wait until they make a sequel...even though I just beat the most recent DLC that came out like 4 days ago. I NEED MOOORE!!!!
