Easily took the place of my favorite VR game. It's definitely one of the top games that takes advantage of the medium in as many ways as it can. It gives you interesting areas to explore, has good interaction with many different things laying around, and the upgrades to your gun are a lot of things that would seem lame in a non-VR game, but it a huge deal here.

This game quickly became my favorite FPS after I bought it. With the combination of map design (destructibility) and operator variety, it truly feels like something different in the genre. That's combined with the fact that the game can fit both playstyles of tactical vs twitch shooting, meaning it can appeal to multiple player-bases. I'm not the fastest twitch shooter, and if it comes down to reflexes there's a decent chance I'm going to lose. Because of this I rely on map knowledge and do my best to know where the other team is, and then come from an opening that they're not paying attention to. However, other people can pop a headshot without even trying, so if they go into the building and just sweep the rooms, they can still be successful as well.

The free content they release has also helped the game a lot, and not splitting the playerbase means that the community just keeps growing, which has saved the game from where I thought it was going a year ago. Back then I would get pretty long queues, and was worried the game would die off in a few months. After the first couple of content drops, though, the amount of players was stable enough to get matches pretty quickly, and after Skull Rain there haven't been any problems at all except for the occasional matchmaking bug. That was my biggest issue and fear for this game, and since it has now been resolved I can honestly say there's nothing major I dislike about it.
