Pros:

- Outstanding art style
- Entertaining
- One can find its own style in the (excessive amount of) moves

Cons:

- Only two levels of difficulty; the easy is a walk in the park, maybe a bit too easy
- Clunky controls
- Cheesy story
- Some bugs
- Boss battles are all the same: wait, dash and hit, over and over again just bit boring...

Shank is surprisingly a lot of fun to play. If you look better game go for Mark of the Ninja but anyone who grew up on 80's goodness should take a look at this.

Bastion has a brilliant and unique approach to storytelling. A wonderfully voiced narrator details the exploits of 'the kid,' the character you play as, as they occur while also painting a picture of what life was like before the calamity. The world-building here is exceptional, and these factors elevate Bastion beyond just another action game and make it something extraordinary. The combat is fun, and the game is short enough for you never to feel it gets repetitive. The constant acquisition of new weapons also helps in this regard. Although the combat doesn't leave a lasting impression like the storytelling, it's still enjoyable. Bastion is memorable thanks to its distinctive style and remarkable story interwoven with the game so that it doesn't interrupt the action. So Bastion is a great indie title that's easy to recommend.

Deathspank is a one-of-a-kind comedic hack & slash RPG, where you embody a justice-driven hero sporting a distinctive purple thong. Your missions span from acquiring seemingly useless yet potent artifacts, to purchasing spicy tacos for elderly gents, and even to the extent of posing as a child's father for a day just to convince her to vacate a demon-infested mine. Its art style is a breath of fresh air, albeit occasionally vexing.

Don't worry about getting lost in Deathspank. There's a tutorial for just about everything, but it's designed to guide you without being overbearing. The game is a treasure trove of references, fourth-wall-breaking moments, hilarious quests, and odd enemies, all of which add to the fun and comfortable gameplay.

While Deathspank may not be the longest game out there, it's a compact package of fun and laughter that you can complete in around 10 hours of gameplay. But don't let the short duration fool you. It's an experience that's definitely worth picking up and playing at least once, leaving you satisfied and wanting more.
