Meh game to be honest. I don't know what the fuss is about. The only reason why you should be playing this game is with your friends, thanks to the rather unfinished content and rather bland gameplay. However, why the hell would you play this game to do that? Talk with them in real life, walk with them or something. If you're dead set on computer games, say you've got a friend from halfway across the world, I bloody bet that a blithering free game can just as well do a similar, or even better job than PUBG at providing a good experience for you and your friends. I hated getting dragged into PUBG with some of my lads 'cause the game sucks in my opinion. The map is not at all interesting, and have I told you that the gameplay is just as dull? There's no substance to it. Loot, shoot, loot, shoot, until you die! It might as well be a Mass Murder Simulator 2017!

Also, they're not even finished with the bugs and the shady stream sniping banning business and yet they want to port to console... and they want to screw another company over because that company simply replicated the gamemode? Sure, if the code was line-by-line the same as PUBG then we would have a problem, but no, Player Unknown, you're a bit of a hypocrite for labeling your name on top of the word "Battlegrounds," definitely not taking a bit of the H1Z1 formula, and claiming to have pioneered the genre. I just thought that this guy may be a bit of an arsehole considering how he plasters his very creative username in the title of his game.

I'll tell you what, take these 30 dollars and spend it on another game.

I have to say, as a CS:GO player, R6S impresses me a lot. The 5 v 5 multiplayer is very familiar, with no respawns meaning that your life matters. Well maybe CS:GO is a lot cheaper (half-price!) and can run a bit better, but Siege is definitely more advanced and based on more contemporary technology. R6S definitely has better graphics and animations (I mean, c'mon, CS:GO is running a 4 year old engine) and also more interesting gameplay! The map's ability to change as attackers breach is a feature that CS:GO seriously lacks being a tactical game. I can say that Siege is basically the next-generation CS:GO, on par with the latest additions of CoD and Titanfall but those are kinda terrible fast-paced FPS. R6S is THE tactical FPS game of 2015+ and the constant operator additions signal that the game is constantly cared about by the developers.

Of course, I came here because of the weekend trial and will definitely buy the game in the near future, likely before the 50% sale ends.

Very educational game about firearms. There's more help to you playing this than CS:GO or anything else. World of Guns helps you memorize sequences and understand how guns work. As for most of the negative reviews, I've been playing for hours nonstop, trying to get faster times and get more achievements. Interestingly enough, it's very addicting!

Get World of Guns now! I'd play this over any game because you actually learn stuff.

It's a blah game, your average Nexon product.

Half-CS:GO, half-boring.

BLAH!

This game is pretty good, but I've seen too many people complain about the community.
Fine, half of them (more like 99%) are kids and singleplayer is/can get boring.

However, I would like to propose a solution.

The Solution

Tired of getting killed on sight by kids? That's what the veterans are. They also have to kill on sight to avoid the same being done to them. It's a vicious circle.

So hop on a server with no killing on sight! Such servers are usually marked by [No KoS] or something similar in their title. RP servers usually always have No KoS (No Killing on Sight) in their rulesets. A nice RP server would be the BootlegRP operated by reputable community member Rain.

Anyways, getting on the No KoS servers provides many things!
  • Security! Just make sure there's an active admin on!
  • Actual interaction between players! People are more compelled to talk once they realize they can get banned for sniping you far away.
  • A better experience!

I have actually had a nice experience in Unturned using [No KoS] servers. Back in 2.0, we didn't have a server browser. We had to manually search through the servers in the Server subforum. I desired an actual RP, No KoS server and I found it! It was a simple one, a city vs. city game-type, but the community flourished and shared a bond with each other. Members of rival towns were enemies on the battlefield, but also close friends to talk to in any other circumstance. The server existed all the way and persisted through the early days of 3.0 and into Russia. The members of the BillNyeGaming server are still my friends, even if the server isn't up regularly. Check my friends list. Figures like $neaky, BadWolfHunter, and even the server owner Bill Nye Your Moms A Guy (We just call him Bill) are all regular friends I play with, be it CS:GO or even Unturned again. In fact, everyone in my friends list has played Unturned with me. What was that, 2-year friendships that are still going on?

I hope that you find a great time and make new friends in this excellent game. Just add No KoS servers.

Game isn't bad! Seriously. The amount of players in a match may be a bit less than preferable but it's still playable!
It actually takes time and skill to take down enemies, even the smaller, less protected mechs take an effort to track and fire at to eliminate them. Even then, they can hop away and you'll have to try to follow them in your bulky heavy mech ;D
The movement mechanics are quite interesting and I'm pleased to say that a rookie (like me at the time of writing) can still match up against more veteran players with the right skills.

Planetside 2 is a free game, and a good one at that. Set in a sci-fi era on the planet of Auraxis, air, land and infantry battles rage on in the same battlefield! All of those different elements in combat affect each other, fighters supplying air support while tanks with transport vehicles roll out to divide and conquer. Three factions fight for control of Auraxis, who are the Terran Republic, New Conglomerate, and Vanu Soverignty.

The Terran Republic (a.k.a. TR) is the conservative republic that seeks unity with fast firing ballistic weapons coupled with high capacity magazines. They were the founding faction before the Vanu and New Conglomerate broke off.

The New Conglomerate (a.k.a. NC) is a faction of freedom fighters who believe that a miserable man is better off than a contented slave. Their arsenal includes coilgun and rail weaponry, which are slower firing and sport higher recoil but pack a large punch.

The Vanu Soveriegnty (a.k.a. VS) is a group of alien worshippers that utilize ancient Vanu alien technology in their armor and weapons. Their main maxims center around technology equals might. While their weapons may not hit as hard as the NC or fire as fast as the TR, their reload speed is pretty quick.

Team-work and joining a squad or platoon is important! Only with those elements can this game be actually enjoyable.

Imagine yourself following a squad of fellow soldiers, checking corners and eventually reaching the Control Terminal of a hostile facility. The engineer quickly places down his anti-infantry turret while the Heavy Assault takes out his light machinegun and sets up behind a crate as the terminal's control turns over to your side. A few minutes later and the base will be yours! The infiltrator cloaks and disappears behind the corner, scouting for potential threats. An allied Galaxy dropship supplies more men to help your point defense and a Sunderer is hastily deployed to provide your force with a spawn point for reinforcements.

With organization, Planetside 2 can be a really good game. Although the new player learning curve may be steep, player-made guides on Steam and videos on Youtube can assist with knowledge of what to do.

See you on the Planetside!

NS-15M1, a collector's edition item, not obtainable without this DLC unless you already had it.
NS-357, your trusty personal defense weapon. Requires you to not panic and aim your shots to kill the other guy.
Esamir Camo, I don't use it, but when I do, I imagine myself killing a guy with this white camo on him (I've seen too many people walk into facilities where this camo highlights you easily)
So I only use the Underboss and NS-15M1 plus the EXP Boost.
