Metaphor is a very unique title. Without spoilers the scope of this game evolves very quickly. I enjoyed the archetype system in this game and towards the end there were difficulty spikes that made me think much more about my parties dynamic and what skills I was using. This wish I'd played through the game on hard to begin with.

Even though I overall enjoyed my time with this game it had some major drawbacks that made me feel like I largely wasted a lot of my time. There is a huge shortage of MP items and for a game that you need to grind in to get to higher levels this concept doesn't make senses. This game goes from an easy steam roll to 20/10 difficulty. In fact I had to lower the difficulty just for the final boss. There are things I wish I'd known in prior to the last act of the game, which would have effectively made my time more enjoyable. If they had made the lower end of this game slightly more difficult while decreasing the upper end of the difficulty I feel as though they would have hit a sweet spot with this game.

Anyways I enjoyed this game. Beating it will be a huge time investment but I feel as though this game was rewarding enough. 8.5/10

Expect fog, fog, and more fog. This game is one of the best games I have played this year. During your play-through, you might be wondering, "why is James jumping into this hole?" or "why is James sticking his arm into this hole into the wall?". Unfortunately, you'll never have the answers to these questions. Furthermore, at the end, you actually might have more questions than answers. But this game isn't about answers, its about an experience. And the experience is crazy, intense, and cinematic. I highly recommend this game. 9/10

The first time I played through this game I went straight through the main content with no intention of completing the side content. This was one of the biggest fumbles ever. Thankfully, the recent updates, the anime, and release/praise of Phantom Liberty inspired me to do a second playthrough. In my second playthrough my main goal was to do more of the side content. And, wow. The side content is a whole other game on top of a whole other game. There was hours and hours of unique content that was just good or not better than the main story. Cyberpunk is a game that deserves your undivided attention. In a world where there are so many great options to play, Cyberpunk should be placed at the highest point for deserving your time and energy. Play this game through thoroughly and take your time. 10/10 one of my all time favorite experiences.

This game is easily in my top 5 games. There is a lot to do and could've easily spend 50 more hours doing the main quest if I didn't have other games I wanted to get to. 100% highly recommend this game to anyone.

Afterimage is a seemingly simple game that transforms into an expansive and complex game. There are several moments where this game opens up and you're like wow this is big. There are more than a hundred weapons to choose from that each change the flow of combat. There are a large variety of enemy types and environments that never make this game stale. All of this together makes this game hard to put down. Traveling throughout the map is very seamless and easy to do. Hidden walls and pathways are plentiful and actually feel rewarding when found. The skill tree is large and there is some weight to the progression.

However, there are several features that I wish were in the game from the start though. From the start, there is no dodge on roll. I think this limits the fluidity of this game. I think the game could use a more direct questing system. A lot of times I was wondering, especially at the beginning, what my goal was. A lot of the bosses are easy with the exception of a handful later on, which are actually very fun and complex fights. These drawbacks are noticeable but they don't really takeaway from the all of the resounding positives that bring this game up.

Just like last of us this game has surreal environments and great gameplay. At this time, I am about half way though the game. Definitely hooked and excited to see how this story ends. I have minor complaints regarding the banter between the brother and sister. Also the gameplay and themes presented can get somewhat repetitive but its not enough to keep me from finishing the game.

I was having real doubts about this game before it came out. I'm glad I decided to cave in and buy it. Came for the fights. Stayed for the menu. 10/10

This game deceptively makes you think its a one of the many common shoot em up hack and slashes. But turns into so much more as you progress through the game. The characters become deeper, the combat system becomes better, and the story will keep you at the edge of your seat. Did I mention all of the secrets that are hidden throughout the levels? I highly reccomend this throwback title, it's a must-have.
