あなたに対して敬意を払わない唯一のゲーム

Welcome to "The Witness", let's just jump right into it. This project is not only one of the best puzzle games to be ever made, but it's as well a fascinating philosophical journey that plunges you into the depths of your mind, forcing you to reflect on many simple truths about society and the world around you, providing you with both reflections from great men of the past and present, and asking you direct questions that you are free to answer yourself. What is the answer? That is entirely up to you.

This game is beautiful in everything: the graphics, the sounds, the atmosphere, the content, everything is top-notch and you are immersed in the game with ease, and your time spent in it brings only positive emotions.

Perhaps one of the game's main features is that it leaves you in almost perfect silence - there is no music. The suspense only further immerses you in your thoughts and stream of consciousness. You can't imagine "The Witness" without all that, it's more than a game.

The power and almost uniqueness of "The Witness" lies in the fact that in this game literally everything, from video tapes and audio journals, to the environment and optical illusions, pushes you to think.

"The Witness" could be called an enlightener game, it puts fuel in your furnace while you waste it on puzzles, and in between solving them, you speculate on interesting and big topics for society, questions of science and religion, arguments about the substance of God, etc.

This makes "The Witness" not only a game, but even a kind of book with questions you want to find the answers to yourself
This game itself is a metaphor on the cycle of generational change and the transmission of knowledge.

At the beginning of the game you come out of a completely black cave with no idea what you need to do, but as you move further and further you gain new knowledge and find answers to the questions you had at the beginning - this is what the cycle shows.

Birth is the acquisition of self, knowledge and adulthood is the end of the cycle, representing the passing on of what has been accumulated to the next generations.

But is there ever an end?..
