The best FromSoft game. Cutting back on the RPG elements but with faster, more engaging gameplay, some of the best bosses ever and a real jump button. Truly a masterpiece.

Decent base game with solid DLC content. Especially Crown of the Sunken King and Iron King but Ivory King is decent too. Even though I consider Dark Souls 1's singleplayer vastly superior - especially since you can mostly fix the technical issues with DSFix or with the remaster - Dark Souls 2 is a decent game to pick up. I much prefer the PvP in this game even though online activity kind of died down after the release of Dark Souls 3. Still a solid game to pick up, especially if you've already played Dark Souls 1 and 3. I do think that the regular version of Dark Souls 2 is a bit better but it's usually not on sale so this is probably the better deal.
