Here's my POV

Like every other puzzle game, Super Hexagon has pieces too. You already have all the pieces that you need but they are not physical objects, they are inside your head and you have to decide which one to use in what order in a fraction of a second. SH focuses solely on your capacity to control and arrange your actions in time (just like you arrange the pins inside a lock that you try to lockpick), that's why I would call SH an action puzzle or a time puzzle game. Or an action time puzzle.
