Stellaris is a great 4x game. It has tons of story content, a lot of solid reading, but also great gameplay.

The thing is, this game has major changes about once a year. The changes are not always improvements, but they eventually fix the things that they break. Overall though, I've greatly enjoyed the time I've put into it.
