Early Access Review
I have played a lot of games in my lifetime. Many of those were cRPGs (some of them I've beat multiple times over the years, like Infinity engine games, Fallout 1&2 and New Vefas, Morrowind etc.). Lately, most new games include RPG elements. They also follow a simple pattern of being rather easy, having multiple copy-pasted activities that do not require any thinking whatsoever (only muscle memory) and rewarding the player for any actions (s)he takes.

This games is not like them. This game actually requires the player to put some effort. It requires the player to think about how they want to deal with game's challenges (do I want to talk my way out? do I want to fight? do I want to go as a lone wolf or do I want to have a team?) and rewards player with immense satisfaction when - often after multiple tries - (s)he succeeds.

Thanks to this, the game is exceptionaly (re)playable. Challenges can be tackled in various ways but the player most likely will not be able to become a jack of all trades (something contemporary games have accustomed players to too much). And it's great!

I have nearly a thousand games on my steam account. Hundreds of games that sit in my backlog that wait to be played. Instead I've put nearly 30 hours of playtime into a game that's in Early Access and has around 30% of total content. This alone should suffice for a review.

Superb game which will be even greater once additional content is added.

PS If I've convinced you to try Colony Ship, also do try Age of Decadence (first game of this game's creators).
