I am a french viewer of the original actual play this game is based on.
As a fan, I really enjoy spending time with characters I know; but even without knowing the original universe, my friends are really enjoying their time. Very fun, adaptative and unpredictable, this game is truly a delight.
The time is ok-ish, it took us 6h to finish the first half of the game. The replayability is interesteting, but I don't think it adds value.

Everything is perfect. The puzzles, the pacing, the exploration... All is carefully thought to propose one of the best game I have played these last years. I was craving for a similar experience of The Return of the Obra Dihn, I found one.

Ho man, what a hassle. The only review I had seen on this game said "One of the best video game story I had for a long time, lots of love and thoughts were put there from the team... too bad there is game in between the stroy sequences". I think it sums up this game pretty well: the journalist gave a 6/10, I would rather tend to a 7/10.
The game has awesome moments, okay-ish moment, some puzzles are interesting, others are a bit borring but never too long. Yet, some frustrating bugs made the last part really hard to enjoy; run sequences especially, where the enemy always seemed to go quicker than I for no reason. I swapped from a controler to a keyboard, I think it helped, but overall, this really made me question why I was playing this game, as it seemed really unfair.
I am so glad I finished it, yet I don't think I am ever going to launch it again. The story is very very good, the gameplay not that much, and made me wish sometimes it would have been a Walking simulator like What remains of Edith Finch or Firewatch.

I was hooked by people comparing this game to Hades, and since I was looking for a game that allowed me to have fun with a wide variety of power combinations, I gave it a try.
The first 30 minutes were difficult, and I hesitated to pay it back: despite the *superb* art and music, it didn't click right away, because I couldn't figure out the gameplay loop. I tried anyway, because behind it all, I felt the game was really trying to show me how much fun it could be.
The thing is, you have four powers, constantly rotating. Unlike Hades, where each build is carefully constructed and you control everything, here it's (in my opinion!) really harder to control exactly which spell is going to happen, and its precise effect (because you can also add modifiers to your four spells!) But what you lack in control, you gain in fun: the game is a marathon, where you try to survive with a rather weak attack button, until you can unleash hell with your spells - not unlike A-RPG such as Grim Dawn/Diablo. And it's a lot of fun.
The game isn't Hades, I still prefer it, but once you start to understand how it's meant to be played, you're in for a while.
It gives you a lot to consider in your first few runs, and it takes a while for the pieces to come together; but whenit does, it's a perfect bliss of fun and sexy zodiac warriors.

Albeit it is far too short for my liking (~1h30), the puzzles are so lovely and ingenous that I cannot not recommend. I got it on sale (9€), which is a bit better. The first free update was a very nice addition, if the game continues to expend like this I think it will be worth its price. It is fun, the art is lovely and the system of story telling works wonders.

Huge fan of the first one. This is like a ""lazy"" big DLC: same mechanics (more or less), same open world with a lot of quest markers... But if you can pass that, you're in for an awesome story, very touching, a great gameplay, and time will fly without you realizing it. The first was one of my favorite action RPGs for the past few years, and this one is even better since you can play Miles! I fully finished everything (minus the two post generic side quests) in about 18h, which is really decent. Can wait for the next episode in the serie!

Tl;dr: if you want Batman arkham and love Spiderman, this game is an absolute go-to (bonus points if you really miss Spiderman 2 city roaming on GameCube).

I loved this game so much. I played two playthroughts, each very different.
If you are looking for a cosy VN, with a gorgeous art style, very nice music, gripping story and mystery... Some parts are quiet dark, but the game is always delicate and deals with a lot of different current problematics.

Man of Medan was rather weak.
Little Hope had a better setting, but the ending was a bit disappointing (imho).
While House of Ashes still cannot compare with Until Dawn, it is by far the best entry in the Dark Pictures franchise, and was a real thrill to play (especially with a friend). If you like narrative horror games, you should consider playing this game.
I really liked the addition of a difficulty setting: I was in there for the story, and having permissive time frames for the QTE helped me enjoying it better. It is a personnal opinion, but I like that they included this.
Ps: Salim you are too precious for this world.

Just play it.
If you like RPG, adaptive storytelling, great music, charming graphics, nice cutomization, interesting gameplay mechanics, don't hesitate.
The devs continue to bring new updates, which is awesome!
