1. In your library right click on Bioshock 2 Remastered
2. Go to properties
3. General Tab
4. Launch Options
5. Paste the following: "Bioshock2HD" -run %command%

These simple steps will not only remove an annoying 2nd launcher. It ALSO fixes most if not close to all problems in the game. I didn't crash, or run into any bugs ONCE playing it after having done the steps above.

Also while you're at it, in your control panel set the games max frames to your monitors refresh rate or lower. This game tries to output crazy high fps which puts unnecessary strain/heat on your PC.

Beyond all that, it's a lovely game, brings back a lot of childhood memories. Very refreshing as I didn't remember most of the game this many years later so it was like playing it as if it were new all over again.

Would you kindly, go ahead and do yourself a huge favor?

^ Just like that because we cannot be bothered by an extra launcher.

Fantastic game, very fun on Survival, which is the only difficulty you should play on. Going in I was a little worried it was gonna be pure agony, but it's actually not all that bad with the right Plasmids/Tonics/ weapon upgrades and any difficulty lower than this WILL be TOO EASY. But to each their own.

Will go out and say that, as much as people have talked about the remaster being buggy, I ran into zero the entire playthrough, not too sure what they mean by any of that... But way more than likely due to them not disabling the launcher. So to be honest I wouldn't worry much about that aspect after having done the steps listed above.

Oh and I guess I should also mention, you should probably go into your control panel and lock this games framerate to your monitors refresh rate. Mine being 144, so I limited my fps to 144. The default FPS this game wants to push out, can overheat/put unnecessary stress on your system.

Resident Evil Village is like if RE4 and RE7 had a baby, and it's beautiful. I was super skeptical coming into this game. I didn't know how I felt about Vampires and Lycans being apart of the Resident Evil lore, but when you take into account all of the other things we've seen from this series, it begins to make sense. It's not too far out of the realm of what is possible for this series especially with how that all gets explained, IMO.

Sections:
I do wish that the sections in the game, belonging to each antagonist were longer. I'm not going to lie to you, certain sections of the game didn't last very long, and they were over before you realized it. But you do get the sense of feeling accomplished with completing each one. Some were spooky, some were a tad underwhelming.

Puzzles:
To be honest, there are few "puzzles" in this game, Yeah, there is the entire Beneviento house, that is dedicated to being a puzzle section, But... Almost every other puzzle feels lacking or dare I say, too easy. Resident Evil games are known for their puzzles, but to be fair not everyone were fans of them. Fair enough. Don't get me wrong, figuring out the puzzles that are in Village is fun, and they're not horrible, just a little bland for my tastes.

Inventory:
I really loved the inventory in this game. One thing I always hated about 7, was how items you needed to progress ended up taking up loads of your inventory space and often times you'd have to back track to go get a single item from your chest and walk all the way back to the area you just came from. This game has separate inventories for each thing.
You have your main inventory for guns, ammo, heals, and the works. Then you have your key items inventory, so you no longer have to take up unnecessary space for keys, cranks or puzzle items. And then you have your valuable tab, where everything that is worth a good amount of Lei gets stored. I've heard some people complain that the separate inventories kinda kill the "Survival" aspect of it a bit, but... EH. Quality of life is preferable to me. In conclusion VERY lovely inventory. Big round of applause for that.

Weapons, weapon upgrades, and character upgrades:
First off, the weapons actually feel satisfying. They feel like they have some oomph to them. They sound really nice, and to be honest I love that you can't just spamfire if you want to be accurate, you have to wait a sec or two between shots to have your shots go where you want them to. It feels kinda realistic in that aspect. The merchant (duke) aspect has returned that sells you weapon attachments and upgrades, and feels straight up out of RE4. The weapon upgrades are a great way to gateway you in a way. As you progress enemies get tougher, and you need to upgrade your weapons to take them out faster. Weapon upgrades are something I've missed from the Resident Evil series for a while now so it's nice to see them back. Around the game are several animals that you can kill and collect meat from that can be given to the Duke to cook up which can give you character upgrades. Such as more health, damage reduction while blocking, and a movement speed buff. I actually really enjoyed the hunting element of the game and I got lost in it from time to time to be honest, just trying to go find as many animals as I could to collect that delicious meat from. Good change of pace from the Antique Coins from RE7.

Game Length:
Village's length is give or take 9 hours if you strictly just do the main stuff. Same as RE7. I can think of six other Resident Evil games that are shorter than that. I also think it has fair replayability. Especially since to unlock the hardest difficulty you have to play it through once, unless you preordered the edition it came with. It has a long list of bonus stuff you can grind to unlock too. Such as new weapons, infinite ammo for those weapons (You have to upgrade a weapon fully and have all of it's attachments before hand mind you.) Artwork, ect. Lots of things to do. Lots of achievements to get. Very good length in my opinion.

Characters/boss fights:
You might wanna skip this part if you actually plan on playing!

The Dimitrescu's:
I'd kinda upset that Lady Dimitrescu, and her daughters are the only antagonists that ever have a follow around the map mechanic. That was cool, but to be honest the castle section didn't last nearly long enough for it to be as fulfilling as I hoped. (without the degen mods of course) The daughters are basically minibosses but done well, other than how quick they were gone. But, Dimitrescu's fight... Brilliant! Close quarters at times, and also tense. That, is what a Resident Evil boss is all about.

Donna Beneviento:
Donna unquestionably is the owner of the games most tense and scary section in the entire game. Her "boss fight" was severely lacking, but the baby definitely made up for that.

Salvatore Moreau:
Moreau is kinda meh to me honestly. I felt like he's the weakest of the characters. In terms of his section and character. Not to say he's horrible by any means but it's definitely not the best the game has to offer, and that's coming from someone who is absolutely TERRIFIED of water in games, ever since playing Super Mario 64 with Unagi the Eel as a child, as well as RE4's Del Lago, and Banjo Kazooie's clanker or the shark. Anyways yeah, I felt nervous in the boat, but as you traverse the sunken houses and stuff it didn't feel as scary anymore. There's no sense of real urgency in that part. As long as you just stand in a safe spot, he literally cannot do anything to you. This would've been made better if he slowly destroyed platforms and safe spots if you were there for too long, but there's no such mechanic other that the sunken boat thing. Boss fight was ok.

Urias:
Pretty fun boss fight that makes you feel like you're in real danger. He summons lycans to help him when he's in trouble and stays on you like a freight train. Lots of plunging and jump attacks to avoid. Again, a good Resident Evil boss feeling with him.

Sturm:
Pretty tense fight, lots of charging attacks, and sprays fire everywhere that has denial of pathway mechanics because the fire will persist in those areas for some time, and tighten up the play area, as well as burning you. You have to bait attacks to be able to damage him, and his stun time gets reduced as you do more damage, making him recover faster and charge or spray you faster.

Heisenberg:
This fight was strange to me. It kinda turned into a Call of Duty mixed with Metal Gear or something. Was it awesome? Yes, It is a good feeling to not feel as vulnerable sometimes, and you definitely felt like a badass during this fight.

Urias Strajer:
Playing as Chris was really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cool. You felt really tough and powerful and his arsenal was sick. Fight was a lil gimmicky tho.

Mother Miranda:
Unquestionably the best boss fight in the game in my opinion. She has a lot of cool mechanics, and phases. She's also tough as nails.

In conclusion, I feel like Resident Evil 8 is a very welcome and great edition to the franchise. It offers all of the good things about Resident Evil, with loads of quality of life changes. Very sad ending, but the ending supports a very interesting next edition. No talk on DLC yet, but I know I'd be getting those on release for sure. Either way, if you're a fan of Resident Evil even in the slightest bit, I don't think you'd be disappointed. I've seen people say they don't want this game due to the community making it a horndog fest. but trust me. The sections that support that, isn't the entire game, it's just one (rather smallish) part of it. In the end, Capcom knew exactly what they were doing with the marketing of this game, it sold itself. They knew the community, and what would increase sales & they did a phenomenal job of it considering Resident Evil Village is in Steam Top Sellers and set a series record. Anyway, STOP READING AND GET THE GAME.

A ghost wouldn't hunt my friends so I walked in and said "Come kill us." It did just that.
12/10 would get chiropractic adjustment on my neck again.

BEWARE, IF YOU'RE BUYING THIS GAME TO PLAY CO-OP STORY MODE WITH A FRIEND ON STEAM, TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE. THIS GAME ONLY HAS LOCAL SPLIT SCREEN CO-OP STORY MODE

With that being said, the story mode is fun/interesting, and has been one of the better Resident Evil games in recent years (and by that I mean from 2010 until now) with Resident Evil 7 being on top, and Resident Evil Revelations 2 following behind it and a high potential to be taken over by Resident Evil 2 remake.

There is a way to play with friends on Steam, and that is only through Raid Mode. Which works similar to how the first Revelations Raid Mode did. However I feel that this cannot, and does not warrant spending the money on the game for.
Raid Mode is fairly repetitive and you'll find yourself getting progressively more and more bored with it.

Other than the fact that the CO-OP only exists through Local play, the game is good, and I highly suggest picking it up during a sale.

Gmod's Trouble In Terrorist Town, XCOM and Deceit are all games that come to mind while playing this.

Basically the game features 6 players, two of which will become a monster/alien, the rest of the people on the ship will be NPCS it is your duty as a human to identify and eliminate all signs of Alien life, and get the survivors out safe before they're turned into aliens too, TRUST NOBODY.

This game blends elements of a Tactical Turn Based Strategy game and elements from games like the ones mentioned above.

This was actually a refreshing game, and is very fun with friends as far as I can tell, given that everyone is foillowing the rules and not being lame.

Definitely recommend picking it up, I got this game for free but I recommend giving this a try next time it's on a decent sale.

(UPDATE 9/24/19) Game appears to be dead (sadly) Devs really need to think about cutting the price down quite a bit, or make it free. One or the other.

It's a really interesting game, and has lots of potential, unforunately it's quite difficult to find servers that are not full.
Nobody wants to host their own so everyone bundles into servers and never leave.
Which is the smart way of getting around said issue, unless you have a short attention span.

Excited to see where this ends up though.
