You do have to buy new weapons, considering the stats are better then the ones you start off with. You gotta buy "GP" with cash, to then use GP to buy "ingame store" weapons. I noticed these weapons are 10x better. Because of this, I quit. Its nice to have a 3rd person game, but I rather go play Socom for the ps3 instead.
