This game has some of the best performance/voice design I've ever experienced while playing a fantasy RPG. Each decision and playthrough will be different, which makes it fun to play with friends and have a separate solo campaign too. Very high replayability. If you enjoy turn-based games and or DnD-style games, you will absolutely love this game.

My two complaints are:
1.) The UI for controllers is absolutely awful. The map is hideous and there are SEVERAL bugs within the inventory management. It feels like controller support was neglected throughout the entire testing & polishing period. However, I still prefer playing on controller because it's much more comfortable and easier to understand. As of the time of this review, it needs a LOT of polish. Like... a lot.
2.) Loading times feel too long. If I take two steps and then reload the save, it seems to take an unreasonable amount of time to load me back into the instance. For a game that has a relatively small map, the loading times feel a bit too lengthy in my opinion.

Other than that, this is a great title that I'm sure we'll all be enjoying many times through. The game performs well on my PC and any bugs that I've encountered haven't actually hindered or prevented progress, which is good! Despite the controller UI being unpolished, the rest of the game feels very solid. Thanks to the voice design and actor performances being so good, every quest (no matter how small or seemingly insignificant) feels meaningful and engaging. I'm looking forward to beating it and then playing it all over again to try out different story options.

TLDR; Controller UI sucks but the game itself is amazing, highly recommend.

Early Access Review
I've been playing this game on and off for a long time now. As dramatic as it sounds, this game is a masterpiece.

It's simple, it's challenging, it's beautiful, it's fun. It has the most fun base-building in any game I've ever played before. It's fun solo but I most enjoyed this game when playing with friends. The enemies are fun to fight and the environments are fun to explore. This game does a great job of separating all the biomes into their own respective difficulties; for example, you can't just "strong arm" your way through progression. You must find the right materials and level your gear to withstand the toughness.

It's a simple and quaint game with gorgeous views, engaging combat, and an amazing build system. I think EVERYONE should try this game and I can't recommend it enough. ♥

A really unique and enjoyable solo experience. The level of exploration is unlike any other game I've played. The base building mechanics are really fun without being obnoxiously grind-y. From my personal experience, it has a really great community as well. I'd recommend playing this game if you like exploration and crafting games. There is a storyline to keep it interesting but there are so many dynamics and mechanics to this game that gives it a special place in my heart (interacting with NPCs, owning ships, etc)
I think the devs promised too much when the game first launched but honestly I think it meets those original expectations where it is right now. Definitely worth the play.
