It's mostly fun, but often buggy - happening more in co-op (either for only one player or both)
- collision system glitches, falling through textures etc.
- objects not spawning at all
- text/indicators sometimes not visible
- radar sometimes does not work for one player in co-op

Usually falling of a ledge or to e.g. lava eats one "heart" and spawns the character in the nearest safe place. Here the player gets black screen and back to checkpoint which kills the flow completely in singleplayer and is even more frustrating in co-op

There's lot of places where the map design does not count with co-op. One platform or rail instead of one where the other player has to wait for the platform/rail to get back as it only accommodates one character
The skill, not polished enough, leads to unnecessary glitches/deaths. The targeting is terrible and why you can push/pull the other player with it is beyond me (this often leads to another round of deaths as you'll often target your mate instead of the platform/rail)

Railroaded, insane drug induced, midlife crisis driven stroke.

Occasional pixel hunt.
Ending might be unsatisfying.

Heavy use of "complex" and made-up words makes it often confusing and exhausting to translate and understand for non-native speaker.

Top-down pixel-art shooter with upgrade-able ships and ship dogfights.

Fight the pirates, fight the Zerg swarm, helm the father-ship.

Explore the floating islands that will hook you in.

I used to play Gothic 1 and 2 and have somewhat nice memories from those playthroughs, but...

Elex looks like the devs took Gothic 1/2 and just added more future sci-fi elements to it - like they did not learn Anything new since then.

The UI, map design, enemy behaviors, voice-overs, sound design, well, everything is... honestly... terrible.

There are one-man-show games that are better polished than this.

Just... no.

Gearbox Studios killed the game...

If only all early accesses would look like this...
