Unfortunately, I was not able to enjoy this game due to the horrible controls and camera. I found it overly difficult to perform simple platforming and navigation, thus calling it quits before finishing the first level.

I ended up enjoying this game more than I thought I would, it holds up very well. The adventure is interesting and engaging all the way through, and the music is great too. The tough puzzles really get your brain thinking. There's a few different paths you can take as well which adds some good replay value.

Although the platforming can be frustrating and tedious at times, the fun combat systems make up for it. The environments are interesting and the story isn't bad either.

With it's relatively low difficulty and relaxing atmosphere and soundtrack, this Prince of Persia reboot is comparatively more casual than it's predecessors. Along with the fun platforming/parkour you'd expect from a Prince of Persia game, you also get to experience the witty and world-building banter of the two protagonists. Both the platforming and dialogue are highlights of the game. Combat starkly differs from the Sands of Time trilogy. While being easier in general, it is no less fun and is a fresh experience. Some collectathon elements are incorporated as well, for the completionists out there. However, those elements can mostly be ignored for those that just like to stick to the main story line. The cell shaded art still holds it's beauty to this day.

Vampyr is characterized by it's grim and haunting atmosphere, and with it is one of the best soundtracks I've experienced in a game before. The music adapts to the situation well and is always beautiful to hear even when the game has you on the edge of your seat. Vampyr is heavily laden with story and dialogue which is done very well. The combat is relatively easy and simple, but still very enjoyable. I would recommend most experienced players to select the Hard difficulty mode.

Despite leaning heavily on it's Dark Souls inspiration, Lords of the Fallen doesn't feel redundant and manages to carve a niche for the AA souls-like genre. The grimdark setting is isolating and hauntingly beautiful. Combat is slow and weighty; a controversial point of the game. For me, it only added to the immersion and the satisfaction I experienced when overcoming a challenge. The story and lore are nothing special, but serviceable. I would recommend this game to any Souls or RPG fan looking for another challenge.

I really loved playing this game. The dialogue is well written and learning about the lore of the world was very interesting. Dynamics between the different factions are handled very well. Choices are thought provoking and are usually in a grey area, not so much black and white. The combat system is pretty fun and complements the colonial style well. The voice acting can be iffy, but my overall impression was good. There are quite a bit of reused assets, but this can be overlooked considering the budget of the game. I also encountered some bugs, but nothing too serious or notable. Aphra, one of the companions, has questionable character design considering the ethnicity of her and her people. It's a real gem and I will be looking forward to Spiders' future efforts.

Excellently challenging and rewarding. Unfortunately, it gave me severe motion sickness every time I played it (which is not common for me). By taking frequent breaks, I was able to finish the game and the DLC. A testament to how great this game is.

A step backwards from the previous game. Not very good considering this series doesn't have much going for it in the first place. Poor story, janky camera and movement, etc. The last half of this game consists of backtracking through the same levels you played through in the first half. The fight choreography is pretty good though. Save your time and money.

For such a popular series, I was expecting more. The "stylish" action combat is marred by a janky camera, and clunky movement and targeting systems. The story is practically non-existent in the first game and only decent in the third. I can't speak to the second game as I skipped it. The most enjoyable things about these games is the cut scene choreography and occasional witty dialogue lines. Ultimately, there are much better action games out there with more polish and good story, so I would skip this series.
