Star Wars: Knights of The Old Republic II - The Sith Lords was developed by Obsidian Entertainment, as a sequel towards the original Knights of The Old Republic game made by Bioware. And I think it is important to know that KOtOR 2 was the very first game made by Obsidian Entertainment.

The game tells you a story that happens around 3000-3500 years before Battle of Yavin IV (the day when the first Death Star was destroyed), and the story itself is... unique. I cannot recall any other game which had a similar story-line.
You are being one of the last Jedi to walk the galaxy, it's a reign of Sith Empire, the galaxy is on the verge of death and it's destiny depends on you, and the overall atmosphere of loneliness and danger is something that gives you chills whenever you play the game, let it be your first time or 100th time.

This game actually helped me through some hard times. I was a teenager when I played this game, and I had personality problems, I just could not understand some particular stuff, I was impulsive and such. But I always had interest in older games, and this game influenced me a lot. The amount of life lessons this game can give you is nothing I have ever saw before. Almost every line said by any character you can quote, and it won't sound anywhere around stupid at all. The game shows that life is not as black and white as most people are used to treat it as such. There is an another side of a coin for almost every case scenario, and the game just makes you think about your principles, motivations and after playing this game for some time, and if you have true interest in it, you will ask yourself a question: whether you are living your life right?

Most people dislike KOTOR's for the weak gameplay. Sure thing, a step-by-step fight system is severely outdated by today, but this game is not about fighting, this game is not about action. Both KOTOR's focus on whole different aspects. That being said, the first KOTOR is a story-adventure, and the second KOTOR is a story game which makes you question most of the things. It is a psychological game. It is a psychological book. The amount of dialogues in this game is immersive. If you will listen into every line, if you will experiment with the options and such, your walkthrough will be 100+ hours long. Don't you find the fact that the game from 2004 can pull this off amazing? Well, I do. And that's why this game is important to me.

It will always hold a special place in my heart for numerous reasons: it taught me a lot, it was an unforgettable experience, and some characters remind me of my friends strongly, which is... ironic, really.

This game was also unbelievably rushed, and was made within 13 months. Despite the game's scales, it has a lot of content which was cut, and I recommend to download a TSLRCM mod with M4-78 planet included from Steam Workshop. That way, you will experience the game's full potential.

10/10. A must-play for every true Star Wars fan! No argument there!
