The dialog being grammatically incorrect becomes irritating after a while... So many eye rolls and uuugh moments simply because of the language used...

Do yourself a favour and play this game start to finish with some decent quality headphones. The sound design is beautiful! Not to mention the gorgeous art style and beautifully designed puzzles!

Seriously one of the best games I've played in a long time

Bought this expecting twin stick controls. Oh how I was wrong. And after reading a post by the developer claiming this is how he intended the controls to be and won't even give us the option for a natural twin stick controller scheme I refunded.

Not even worth the £8 on sale to me sorry.


Also why isn't a game like this fully supported by the steam deck? I had to faf to get the correct native resolution to work and the menu is fking horrible to navigate since it assumes and almost forces you to use a mouse....

I wanted to voice my opinions on this game as I feel the overwhelming number of bad reviews is unjust. All these kids complaining that this game wont run on their 5 year old potato doesn't make the game bad, its your judgement on what your rig is capable of that needs adjusting.

Game installed and running on an nvme.

Running it on ultra settings with dlss on quality at 5120x1440 (ultrawide) i'm getting ~80-120 fps depending on where I am (indoors/outdoors etc) which is perfectly acceptable.

No issues at all, yes the shaders took a while but so what? About an hour of waiting after downloading the game, it's not like you have to do this every time you want to play right?

I've waited for this game to come to PC for so long, I bought a ps4 to play it but honestly I can't aim for ♥♥♥♥ with a controller. Finally it's out on PC and oh my days i'm glad I waited.

Also, i'm one of the few who run games on ultrawide (5120x1440) and the fact this games supports it out the box is just epic. Well done! And an FOV slider too! 10/10 guys you know your target audience..

10/10 would ♥♥♥♥ myself again

Pros:
- Arenas are awesome
- Enemies are unique
- Good Humour
- Weapon Combos / Quick switching
- Basically a reskin of Doom Eternal

Cons:
- 6 hours of gameplay of split up into
- ~2-3 hours platforming/sliding
- 2 hours of (kind of annoying) cut scenes
- Basically a re skin of Doom Eternal
- Overpriced for the amount of content


The arena battles in this game are awesome, the weapon switching / combos on close to that of Doom Eternal. My main gripe with it is I finished it in ~6 hours, for the price i paid (£35) i'd expect way more than that. Not to mention probably 2 hours of that 6 is made up of boring platforming / grappling and sliding. Give us more arenas and i'll change my recommendation.

9001/10 would gib again

Played about 6 hours so far and the game's just getting started. Very interesting concept that keeps me wanting to come back and explore more. Would recommend.

As for reports of stuttering. I've had none on a mid-range rig. I'd strongly recommend buying and giving it a go, if it doesn't work for you there's always the refund option.

It's nice to play a game that pushes the envelope. I've grown tired of the same old same fps pew pew crap. This game introduces some new concepts that actually work really well.

The only issues I have is the music. I'm not usually a fan of in game music anyway (besides doom eternal). The repetitive 3 chord rhythm playing constantly in the background is starting to drive me a little askew. (i'm listening to it now as i write this... and i'm sure i'll be hearing it first thing in the morning when i wake up...) That being said the rest of the music is actually pretty decent which is why i'm reluctant to turn it off. Other people commenting about the repeating dialog but I haven't noticed it so far.

Buy it, if it stutters, refund. if it doesn't you're in for a great time...

How can a developer break a game so much? Something they've spent so much time and effort on... totally destroyed?
