The new "romance" mode where generals or OP is a fun fresh take. Also the animations are better then ever for the total war series. I'm a fan of the series so ofcourse i recommend if you enjoy games like Civ. Personally, I just can't wait for another Medieval or Empire total war (fingers crossed).
