I completely forgot I owned this game.

It is really fun and has a quirky reload mechanic which is what made it stand out to me.

Sadly though it seems to have ben abandoned by the devs. Shame as there are still prevalent bugs in this version of the game. Any hopes of getting these remedied seem slim as of now. Luckily the bugs don't impact gameplay too bad aside from the fact it is in borderless windowed with no way to make it exclusively full screen, infuriating when the game revolves around you throwing your mouse cursor about the place.

I've had this game since day 1. The game in its current state is better than it was but it needs a lot of work to be as everyone is calling it "The Battlefield Killer"

The HUD is a bit all over the place. You can see player dots through walls and it can be a problem if you're aiming at an enemy and you have an ally behind him somewhere on the map.

The sound design needs a major overhaul. You can't hear people running up on you and it is infuriating.

That being said though, the guns are great, the animations are perfect, the customisation is immense just the sound design needs work. But for £11.39 its worth it. I hope the developers stick with it.

Now I have never played the original on the Genesis but as a Brit I absolutely adore this comical take on American Football.

I have played a few Madden games and I follow the league but no NFL based game has had me as happy as this. The commentary is hilarious and the cartoony violence makes for a truly enjoyable experience.

This is what I was looking for when I picked up Blood Bowl.

A very solid game and a total ball to play.

Defiance & Mr Good Looking is great but currently a bit rough around the edges.

with a few patches stomping out the occasional bug such as not being able to switch characters or the AI pathfinding it'll be awesome. For now though it is a solid shooter that when its ready will hold up the test of time. Very good work.

I don't understand so much of the backlash from the community. It is Rome from 2004 but with prettier graphics and merchants now. Sure the QOL changes and the new UI and touching up of the textures is lovely and all but it is just Rome. I can understand the outrage at the price (I owned the OG Rome so I got 50% off).

Yes there are a few things that were left out but we are talking the TW2 engine that I don't think was capable of co-op campaigns. All the improvements in later total War games have been mostly good and yes it would have been nice to have seen a few more improvements in Rome Remastered but the game is still amazing. I have always loved Rome and I get that this is Rome in name only as it looks completely different but the baseline of Rome is there.

I really don't understand the backlash, maybe its at CA for not really using their marketing team to tell us what the game was. Instead we got Phil Wang cosplaying as a Roman and cooking videos as opposed to details on what this remaster was. Sure that's what the influencers are for but the influencers aren't the best way to advertise.

I still really enjoy this remaster though and I think it was long overdue which is probably more of the reason people are so needlessly upset, they've spent so long dreaming up what a Rome remaster would be that when it finally came the reality was just a bit disapppointing.

I rate it 7.5/10

+ The game looks beautiful
+ It's essentially Rome 2004
+ Runs really well on modern systems

- Its basically just Rome (and its DLC) with not much changed.
- They could have added a bit more

The game is very good.

What it does well;

- It accurately replicates 1991's Wrestlefest (it is the sequel so it should).
- The roster has some big names on it which is great. It'll help this game in the long run.
- The arcadey nature of matches is refreshing.
- The sprite based design and retro feel of the game is a beautiful aesthetic.
- The amount of content here for a game that is half the price of a yearly 2K entry is wonderful.

Things that could do with improvement / tweaking

- The difficulty spikes hard. One minute you are going through a very basic tutorial and the next you're getting pummelled.
- The tutorial as previously mentioned is rather lackluster, it teaches you the very basics and basically says work the rest out.
- While the roster is pretty good it isn't very large.
- There is no create a wrestler which is understandable due to the sprite based design of the game but it would be nice to have some creation tools to create wrestlers or arenas.

My only issue with the game is that learning the various moves, grapples, how to counter, irish whip and pick up foreign objects are things you will have to work out yourself as the tutorial doesn't cover it. With a better tutorial this game would be perfect right now though it is very close to perfect.

Video Review (I talk fast in it, set the playback speed to like 0.75 for comfier viewing).

Update: They added a visual assist to help with the timings of moves, its a game changer.

Waited 363 days for this just to give the middle finger to Tim Sweeney and Epic games. For no reason other than to spite them.

Its a bit janky but it comes as an affordable alternative to shelling out $60 per year on FIFa and then God knows how much on Ultimate Team. The games controls could do with a little fine tuning, tackling isn't always responsive and there doesn't appear to be any button to change player. you have the basis for a solid game here just needs a little bit more boot wax on it.

THIS GAME IS A GREAT ADVERTISEMENT FOR ROGUELIKES/ROGUELITES

Dungeon Core is in many ways like Enter The Gungeon. A cute little top down dungeon crawler with roguelike elements sprinkled in. It borrows from ETG in a few aspects with the shop and the overall feel but it does many things equal or better. Sure you could find a "super rare" gun but if its only rated D and you've got a weapon rated B is it worth swapping out? Then you have to think about the tech upgrades you have +10 health and +25% shot power to +50% reload time it really can be a difficult choice to make. It has kept me coming back for over 7 hours so far. (I only recently bought it) and it'll keep me interested for many more.

Also its pretty good because you can leave things in rooms and come back to them after clearing the floor without having to worry about some stupid ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ rat stealing your ammo crate. (There is no ammo, you literally have unlimited ammo)
