It's fun. I recommend playing on easy for the first time to learn the game and research paths.

I like this one a lot. It reminds me of Star Wars Pod Racer, my favorite racing game.
Play through the campaign to get all of your abilities unlocked.

My review is solely on the single player campaign for this game.

I don't recommend it.
The gameplay systems are frustrating. Units won't respond when shot at - even if the enemy shooting them is within line of sight. Your soldiers will just stand there and be killed. This is made worse when the A.I. doesn't need line of sight to attack your units at all, they can engage from a safe distance with no spotter.

Lots of the campaign missions require you to defend key areas from waves of enemy units, though there aren't any substantial defensive buildings to use to anchor your defense around. It makes those kinds of missions a micromanagement pain as you juggle offensive operations, defensive operations, repairs and reinforcements.

The best part of this game is the music, which I bought separately. Would recommend for $10 or less, and after you have played the other games in the series.

I was hoping for something like Deus Ex or Rainbow Six: Vegas but from the criminal side. What I got was a couple of repetitive missions where you murder more police than in a Grand Theft Auto game. Undetected runs are nigh impossible, and the stealth segment of the game is tiny compared to the 'shoot all the cops' portion once you get made.

I enjoyed the atmosphere and the worldbuilding.
I hated the rest of it. The survival mechanics, the ammunition as currency / super bullets, the levels and the encounters were a chore.

This game was a drag to beat. I didn't enjoy the survival mechanics and found the shooting, stealth and levels more of a chore than fun or tense.

Do not recommend.
Batman: Arkham Asylum has better story and gameplay, Batman: Arkham City has better scale and spectacle.

This game is a cheap cash grab built using the tools of the other games but without an understanding of how they work. Enemy movement, fast travel and controls suffer from bugs, the level design is copied from Arkham city but made worse by a lack of grappling edges, and there are precious few predator / stealth encounters.

The story is inadequate and the gameplay is hampered by clumsy controls and design.

I got this for $5 on sale and I regret it.

I recommend this game. It has a deep character in the drawings, narration and music.

You take teams of mercenaries on missions around your ancestor's ancient hamlet, unlocking more of the story and purging the town of darkness.
Each mercenary type (Crusader, Arbalest, Plague Doctor, Monk(?), barbarian(?), Leper, Tracker(?), Jester, Bounty Hunter, and Graverobber) have different powers, attacks and synergies.
Characters can be wounded, go mad, and fall ill on their adventures forcing you to mix up your teams.

Single player only.
