Earth Defense Force is all things at once. It's mind-numbingly stupid, yet it has such a cool sense of scale and destruction that will leave you in awe. It is chaotic beyond words, yet there is such a precision to its madness that will often make you wonder about the sincere genius that Sandlot posseses. It has so little strategy, yet it is also full of tactical depth and exploration that you need to get through its most grueling battles. The enigma that is the Earth Defense Force series is a sight to behold, it is something that you really do have to see to believe. Earth Defense Force 5 is the definitive showcase of the sheer nonsense and over-the-top fun that the series has nailed, again and again. It is as good as EDF gets. Play it alone, play it with your buddies - just play it, please.

Go forth, soldier, and kill God. Even in the face of our Creator and His army, the EDF deploys.

Excellent game to play with friends or online...if lobbies will allow you.
Some lobbies will kick you for no reason or the Host is too stupid to set the game to private.

Even solo this game is fun to play and I find myself going back when I'm in a gaming funk.

Just 100+ levels of mindless fun and blowing ♥♥♥♥ up.
