Witcher has been a part of my life for 15 years. It took me a decade to finish all the books and it took me 3 years to finally finish this game. All of the games and books were with me through bad and good situations in life and influenced me greatly. Funny enough, I remember building my current computer (although it's been upgraded since...) just so I could play Witcher 2 - that was during one of the harder times of my life and helped me get through it. And I must say, to top it all off years later, with Witcher 3 - I couldn't have imagined a better ending. What a ride...

In some ways even better than the original Deus Ex. Gameplay can be a bit tedious when you're looting your 50th locker and hacking your 5000th computer... but it's worth it for the atmosphere and the story.

Bonus: Director's Cut removes the original yellow piss filter. Now looks even more gorgeous, considering the age.

A f*cking phenomenal game, soured by a dumb business strategy. Can't wait for the final sequel to complete the story. A must play for anyone interested in cyberpunk, conspiracies and politics.

As someone who lives in Prague, I'm salty that they gave everyone a Russian accent (makes sense for Dvalis and the gun runners though), but the dystopian depiction of future Prague is absolutely amazing and beautifully done. Love the little details like the stolen river penguins in Golem City.

Disable DX12 because it's buggy as hell.

Reading the other reviews, I have no idea how someone can finish this in 20 hours. I have ~90 hours played, that was the time it took me to explore everything, finish all the missions (actually I even missed one) and all the DLCs. If you play it for 20 hours and you're wondering why it's so short, maybe your playstyle would be more fitting for a Call of Duty game mate.

The best game ever made, period. Replaying this after 19 years (with GMDX mod) is just as good, if not better - I can finally understand the depth that flew right over my head back in 2000.

Amazing that this was made before 9/11. With time, gradually becoming less of a sci-fi and more of a documentary.

This is a new game with Tom & Jerry, in this episode Tom has a greatsword and manages to murder lots of Jerries.

It's my favourite episode so far.

This game is b*llshit...

...LY AWESOME.

Pros:
You can use your bare hands to rip off demons' dix* (*edited because Steam censors p*nises).
Soundtrack gives you beastly gainz in the gym. Get rdy for the normies mirin' while you deadlift 5000 kilos with your scrawny arms.
The testosterone increase instantly makes you into a man your daddy always wanted. Also applies if you're a woman.

Cons:
The minigun doesn't have unlimited ammo.
It is never officially revealed that Doomguy is actually Ron Swanson.

Were it not for the free weekend, I'd have never found out about this pleasant surprise.

I think this is a game I've wanted for a really long time and I didn't even know it. Just beautiful. The music, artstyle, overall atmosphere... it's even inspiring. It's all so overwhelming you get immersed and daydream about space exploration. I played 8 hours straight and tried 3 races - and bearing in mind Civilization, I didn't expect that they would actually play very differently. Wrong. Each almost feels like another game. In comparison to Stellaris, the game doesn't have nearly as much depth, which can be either a good thing, or a bad thing. It has way more personality though, and it doesn't take itself extremely seriously. Unlike the above mentioned, for this game, you don't need a university degree.

I also really like the politics and the random encounters & side quests. The latter for some obscure reason reminds me of Heroes of Might & Magic. Which is obviously awesome.

I was not convinced due to some of the issues, such as really frustrating pirates (something like barbarians in Civ, except it's a warship fleet instead of an elephant with a massive ballsack and a spearman riding it) and overall micromanagement (though compared to Stellaris... it's blissful - then again, so is flying an Airbus). But this game is really something. It's great to just chill out and explore, especially since you can turn the pirates off in the settings. It just all somehow fits together into one great piece of art.

So, after playing the whole Sunday and listening to the soundtrack at work the whole Monday... I have come to a decision.

Ah... they got me again, the b*stards. My wallet bleeds-

Let's make Horatio great again!
