/age tells me that I've played GW2 for 3621 hours over the past 3734 days. So obviously my only critism to this game would be that I cannot flex about my invested time on Steam, as the native accounts cannot be merged.

Jokes aside, it still is simply the best choice in the market even after 10 years, if you're into MMORPGs.

You'll immediately find yourself in a helpful community, an immense dynamically eventful environment, a rich story, numerous character classes, innumerous build styles, a variety of game modes for PVE/PVP.

GW2 is such a uniquely deep and yet sooo forgiving & rewarding MMORPG that, you won't "have to" invest time/money into it to stay adequately competitive. It'll rather be your deliberate choice to do so.

If you'd like to:

- play hardcore
- play casual
- take a few months off and come back
- build and master all classes
- just stick to a class and be done with it
- chill out with the long-standing PVE story mode
- mindlessly follow meta-event-trains with dozens of other players
- min&max your build scores in raids
- get wound up in PVP, yet enjoy the amazing combat mechanics it offers
- siege huge fancy castles while fighting against 100 other players with your 50-ppl group on Discord

then this game has so much to offer to you.

Give it a try, you won't regret it.
