Very quickly seems to hit the point where numbers go up but no gameplay changes, which, to me at least, is the mark of a bad idle game

It's a cute little incremental. Start slow, end up annihilating planets in seconds. It's only ~5-10 hours of content, but it's fun content.

Play the Hex beforehand (it's not necessary but it makes a few things make more sense), and otherwise go in blind. Definitely recommend

I usually enjoy GemCraft because it's relaxing. This is not relaxing. Hardcore and gemcraft shouldn't mix, alas

It's perfectly playable, but it didn't do much to make me want to play it
