The music is MOSTLY great, though gameplay for some tracks becomes very difficult because they don't have an easily determined beat to fire or dodge on, leading to relying on the on-screen metronome. My recommendation of this game is based on the first 5 hours... The game indicates that you have 50-60 missions to rid the world of corruption and as it turns out, that's (maybe) less than half way through the game. At that point I personally stopped playing because the gameplay started becoming rote and unvaried enough to be uninteresting. I was willing to power through to what I thought was the end, but knowing I have hours more of this is simply too big a commitment for what it is. Your milage may vary, however, and those first hours were very fun.

Matchmaking needs some serious balancing. You only gain enough experience to do one of the two following things: explore the various and numerous weapon customizations, or upgrade your weapon damage. What this means is that if you explore the weapon customizations (as I did), other people who have stuck with one weapon and just leveled it up will be significantly more powerful at the same character level. The weapon cutomizations seem pretty balanced within themselves, so there isn't some hidden advantage gained from exploring the weapon tree. I really liked this game at first, even purchasing the Steam Starter pack, but have found myself playing one one round a day - just to get the "Daily Bonus". I had heard the matchmaking was a little off before... but I am facing players with level 12 guns while I am rocking level 2 weapons. I feel like I have been penalized for participating in the mechanic that sets this game apart: the weaponmaking.

Lag also really affects this game - more so than I have seen in most modern multiplayer action games.

Maybe this game will grow into something better... but for now... I cannot recommend it.
