This really wasn't fun at all.
• An hour spent just to unlock my gender.
• No choice in songs as you progress to unlocking a less silly character. Be prepared to tap to jazz trumpets. :/
• Then none of my imported songs worked nicely once I wasn't dressed as a girl.
• All beats were steady interval instead of anything fun to tap.
• Nightcore and rock (possibly others) are just too fast of a beat to verify you're pressing buttons on-beat or not. For instance 0.469 second intervals on "Avicii - The Nights" is over two beats per second. If the average human reaction time between hearing a sound and pressing a button is 0.2-0.25 seconds, I should expect a similar grace period before and after the beat however you'll noticed 0.25x2 > 0.469 which makes giving the player a margin of error even at the average human reaction speed impossible without removing the beat mechanic entirely because everything is within the grace window. Instead, it should have recognized the interval was too small and went every note instead of every halfnote or whatever.
• No options to adjust beats on an imported song on a rhythm game is inexcusable. You give a half-assed attempt at guessing the beat and then if it doesn't work too bad screw me? Come on, devs~!
• Oversaturation and ambient lighting detract from visually showing the beat - any glows and pulses are muted in this visually noisy style. When everything is bright nothing is bright. When nothing is bright you can't show beat with brightness.
