Every new DLC plane is literally a completely different experience when playing. very good

Very fun and realistic. Definitely up there with the best tactical shooters I've played. The 1.0 update is great, while some areas of maps are a bit unoptimized, still plays really nicely. The SWAT AI teammates are also really good, and there's lots of little details that makes the game immersive. Fun game to play single player, and with friends.

the game is really grindy and the story objectives are extremely repetitive, I recommend it if you can play with at least one other person (3-4 players preferably). other than those two things, game is great.

I'd recommend buying the game on sale, and if you haven't already played Borderlands 2 definitely play that game before playing BL3.

In summary, BL3's main campaign story and DLC's are mediocre at best. However, compared to other Borderlands games I think BL3 has the best gunplay, enemies difficulty is so that even at max level mayhem 10/11 you aren't getting shredded, however you are still required to grind out good gear and create a good build for the character - which is one of the things many love about the Borderlands games. If you are planning on buying the game for the story, I wouldn't recommend it, but for the gunplay, it's alright.

Took me around 10 hours to complete, would've taken longer if I did all the side missions. Really fun and satisfying turn-based tactical shooter. It has a decent story, and I would highly recommend picking up this game.

It is a really good and balanced BR game, but veteran and experienced players stomp public lobbies. Very harsh experience for newer players.

The currently two I Expect You To Die games are two masterpieces. To start, the game in my opinion is worth it. While there may not seem like there aren't many missions, they are created very well. Each level also has hidden secrets in it, which take time to find, as well as speedrunning achievements for each mission. The story is great, and you really feel like a spy stopping an evil villain's plans. Both games start with an amazing intro song, and intro cinematic that's put together very well. When playing it was completely polished, no bugs to be found at all. Overall, I have had a ton of fun playing the games and I'm excited to see what Schell Games will bring us in the next game in the series.
