game has a lot of depth ..... sorry

its having some teething problems with its release but to give it a negative review for something that i'm sure will be fixed in the coming weeks seems very harsh

the gameplay is spectacular the combat that it evolves around is the best yet from games the like of chivalry and mount and blade. the combat is fluid and complex but you find it is very natural after a short time using it. The game modes are all what you would expect and a few you would not from the genre

hopefully it overcomes its issues then starts to look into balancing issues as i can see the metas coming allready such as the crazy speed of rouges but looking at whats been made so far is really impressive and i'm sure will be a great addition to the genre once it really takes off

the game could / should be good but;

my problem is i feel like the game just gives me increasingly harder fights against increasingly tougher opponents straight from the word go. so every new game i start i have one decent gladiator and 2-3 pointless ones and acquire more pointless ones along the way there is never an opportunity to train or give my less important guys a fight to get them up to speed because every single fight would slaughter them so i watch the same guy fight and when he inevitably dies then its absolutely game over the fights keep getting harder but i'm left with no champion and however many useless guys

FUN
i find rts games very hit and miss but this is by far the most fun ive ever had in an rts the scope of the battle the range of tactical options its a huge scale battle but the mechanics are so simple and easy to manage its just fun to play and offers some really satasfying ways to obliterate your foe small spoiler alert when at the end of the tutorial i was instructed to use a planet as a projecile to destroy another planet i had to do a double take

p.s got this of a humble bundle for a dollar best bargain ive ever made worth ten times that easily

everything about this game feels rushed and half assed its got potential to be great fun but its infuriating
each prison has a faw set in ways to escape and i dont mind that there are deliberate fualts in each prison thats obviously the point but the dont encourage any kind of creativity in escaping

ill give u an example;
i was playing the fort tundra and ive came up with my plan i can see the obvious way out but i think im bored of tunneling and the intro scene unsubtle showed me a jeep delivering boxes on my way in so naturaly i presume this is an escape option ... now after googling (something i shouldent have to do to escape) it turns out its impossible to escape via the jeep withought a freind to hold open the coop specific door but ive geared up to try and leave this way and i think ok on the map there is what looks like it could be a tightrope of some description leading from the balcony of the wardens office to the roof of were i want to be so i craft some new equipment and make my way there with all the keys contrband pouch andguard equipment and a pickaxe it was an elaborate plan and if it fails ill loose all ive worked towards as there is no saving mechanic it autosaves every second so it will be lost anyhow i get to the office to find the desk and cabinet have been placed in such a way that i cant get by them cant chop them down or climb over them to get out a door and to the balcony ... this is stupidity ive came this far to be stopped by a stupid either design flaw or just the map desingers deciding this is not the way to escape so no we wont allow you to escape this way .... so i notice i can pick my way through a nearby rooms wall to the balcony ... fine i do that get to the tighrrope get half way across and get blocked on it by an invisible wall ..... last straw im done ive been thwarted by rushed design that wont let me escape my way because its not the way they wanted me to escape so whats the point again its either rushed and lazy desing or deliberatly discouraging creativity and by no means was this an easier way to escape it was very elaborate and clever i dont want the easy way i want to feel like ive outsmarted the prison ive spoted a weakness and ive beeten it ... not ive followed the path that was layed before me and the only way to escape the prison

this is just one example of the problems with this game the prison editor seems rushed and is very very limiting its a half arsed game through and through and its such a shame

Simple, fun, sociable and freindly vr with other people is a whole other kind of experience love it and its free :):)

fun and frantic party game the more the merrier its litteraly a blast (sorry)

i expected this game to be hard at first then realy easy once the puzzles were mastered but the game pacces the dificulty well keeping itself fun and challanging throughout and once thats done theres workshop content to challange yourself with

also works very well in vr

love the arkham trillogy im a big batman fan not die hard fany boy but these games make me want to be the story the voice acting (best in any game)

but above all else the game does so well to make me feel like batman i totaly captures the gadgets the fighting the crimanals everything about being batman is captured so well itsone of my favourate game seires

i could spend months talking about how good this game is. its not a perfect game there are things i would change about a bit but its easilly my all time favourate game just so much going for it its a game that just keeps giving.

untill now anyone who claimed any game was the best game of all time i would have had some arguement that it was at least subect to opinion but anyone who claims witcher 3 is the best game of all time im compleatly on board with that couldent argue against it at all.

quick(ish) story

im somebody whom, when i play a simalar game; open world, lots of side quest and exploration ect i tend to find them shallow meaningless distrations to meat out the game so i plow through the main story and then drop the game in the witcher this couldnet be further from the truth every time you walk of the beaten track u get a new story that can stretch out for hours shock you scare you get you emotionaly invested and then tear your heart out and these experiense feel so well told but also so unique to you and your decisions ....

so i decide im on my way to get back on track with the main story i realise my sword needs repairing so im on a boat in skellige and i think ok theres a small town nearby its tiny proboboly insubstatial but ive not been there they might have somewere i can fix my sword so i hop into town get sword fixed and think hmm ill pop into taver for suplies , this triggers a cutscene and a story unfolds and ultimetly im left with a run of the mill monster contract allways fun so i think of 10 20 minuts tops ill get the contract and be back on track ( minor spoilers follow) about 5 hours of my time later ive unraveled a huge mystery faced moraly questionably racism watced a character i was previously unaware existed but not massivly invested in die got thrown in jail stood trail been hoodwinked into a cave and now im in this cave to help my court case somehow (cant remember details ) and theres a huge floating whale hilucination,......
and after all this im left thinking how the hell did i end up here all i wanted to do was repair my sword
this kind of thing happens alot its one of many examples of what makes the witcher a masterpiece

this was meant to be a short review but i cant help myself few times in my years of gaming have i been this exited when i tell people about how much im enjoying a game

so to conclude .... yeah pretty good ... shame dandilion wouldent shut up though
